AfterElton Briefs: "Devious Maids," GQ's Eye-Rolling "Apology," "Barbie Boy" Needs Your Help, and More!

Madame Tussauds unveils the new Darren Criss wax fig ... oh wait, this really is Darren, at the Giorgio Armani Vanity Fair party. He must have just read the comments about him on AE last week.

  • Birthday Shoutouts! Jennifer Holliday is 51 , Trey Parker is 42, and Divine would have been 66 today. Below you can see "Love Reaction," which is the greatest thing in the history of forever.

  • After Desperate Housewives wraps up its final season, out creator Marc Cherry will be moving on to Devious Maids, which is based on a Mexican telenovela, and "centers on four Latina women who are maids in Beverly Hills."
  • Rating update! Ringer was up 14%, while Carson Kressley's demise on Dancing With The Stars led the show to its lowest ratings ever.
  • GQ Australia has delivered a spectacularly awful apology about the Taylor Lautner interview. This is from their Facebook page, and says nothing about insulting Dustin Lance Black and Gus Van Sant directly (oh wait, they must be the "anyone in the story"), but does manage to plug the greatness that is GQ.
"We’ve seen some of the comments floating around regarding our recent interview with Taylor Lautner and apologise if anyone was offended by anything in the article. It certainly wasn’t our intention to paint anyone in the story as a sexual predator. The point we were actually trying to push was that Taylor is irresistible to virtually everyone – regardless of sexuality or gender. Hence t...he film crew cheering at his shirtless scenes while shooting Twilight, and Mark Wahlberg deeming him better looking than Leonardo Di Caprio."
"Taylor is an extraordinary young gentleman, and we can’t wait to see him achieve even greater success in the future. That’s why he’s on our cover – because GQ Australia prides itself on offering readers the best possible advice and insights that help you be modern, successful gentlemen. Whether you’re into fashion, food, fitness, pop culture, politics, travel, technology or cars GQ Australia strives to provide you with top-quality editorial content that allows you to make your own discerning choices."
  • We've got another great Kickstarter campaign for you. Filmmakers Derek Villanueva and Nick Corporon need your help in bringing Barbie Boy to fruition.

  • Below you can see the new trailer for Sherlock Holmes 2, which will be out in December.

  • Below you can see "You're Turning Me On," by Undercover, which they say is inspired by the movie Cruising

And today's Briefs are brought to you by...
