AfterElton Briefs: Bryan Safi is Judge-mental, Octo-Gaga, Stephen Colbert knows who we are (sort of), and More!

Here's last week's caption pic winner. This week's caption pic is at the bottom of the page.

Thanks to everyone for participating! And the winner is ...

"I think we'll have to go as two Sundance Kids. Somehow neither of us is really Butch."

Thanks to Campion for this week's winning caption.

Weekend Birthdays, gay faves edition: Sally Field (64), and Tilda Swinton (50)

  • Lady Gaga continues her conquest of the world. On December 9, eight different Gaga wax figures will debut simultaneously at Madame Tussauds around the world. On December 10 the microchip in each figure will activate, sending a collective signal to the Gaga mothership. On December 11 ... the little monsters invade.
  • Bryan Safi is back, and this time he's taking aim at those over-the-top reality show judges we love so much.

  • Are TPTB at MSNBC insane? They've just suspended Keith Olbermann indefinitely for what amounts to a technicality. I know that they need to appear above board, but do you think Fox would suspend O'Reilly or Hannity for donating to Republicans? What do you think? Should he have been suspended?
  • Speaking of MSNBC, Rachel Maddow finally addresses the rumor that's she's a lesbian vampire.

  • Reality Blurred watches The Apprentice (which apparently is back slumming with the common folk this season after all those celebrity editions), and sends along this terribly awkward "gay" moment from this week's show. Get ready to cringe.

  • Bigwig Hollywood publicist Howard Bragman's show Coming Out will premiere on A&E the week before Christmas. It will feature celebrities coming out for the first time. "The idea is people tune in each week to find out who is coming out - and the response will be either 'Duh!' or 'Wow!' We will have 'Wows!'
  • Speaking of out celebrities, Danny Pintauro has officially won my heart with his Halloween costume. Recognize it? It's Danny's Who's the Boss mom Angela, played by the fabulous Judith Light.

  • Zach Galifianakis, star of the D.O.A. Due Date, is lamenting that his weight gain is hampering his ability to get attention in gay bars: "There's a bar around here that I used to go to, Roosterfish. It's a gay bar. I used to go because I liked to get hit on, even though I'm a straight guy. And now it never happens anymore!"
  • Below you can see Stephen Colbert rant about the "Neil Patrick Harissers" who are trying to out Bert. He credits the L.A. Times, but if you freeze frame and enlarge the image, you can vaguely see "Ed Kennedy" and "AfterElton.com." Thanks for the shoutout, Stephen!

And today's Briefs are brought to you by...
