AfterElton Briefs: Lee Daniels' Modern Family, "The Walking Dead" Will Shuffle Again, Kylie Does Turkey Day, and More!

Lee Daniels with twins Clara and Liam

  • W Magazine has a feature called "Family Values" in their latest issue, spotlighting the many meanings of the word "family." Above you can see out Oscar nominated filmmaker Lee Daniels with his kids, who who were born to his brother and his brother's girlfriend and adopted by Lee and his former partner.
  • Speaking of Glee, Jane Lynch has revealed that Sue Sylvester will be getting married in "the next three or four episodes."
  • Still have that copy of Abba Gold you bought years ago? Well now you're going to have to replace it. The CD+DVD package ABBA Gold - Greatest Hits (Special Edition) will be released on December 7th, and it'll feature all of the group’s hits ... and the videos for each of them! I was hoping it would feature the solo hits from Frida, "I Know There's Something Going On," and Agnetha, "Can't Shake Loose", which IMHO are both better pop songs than anything ABBA did, but no such luck. It will have all the classics of course, including my personal favorite, which you can see below. So what's your favorite?

  • Is Portia de Rossi going to become one half of a same-sex dancing couple on the next season of Dancing With The Stars?
  • AMC has renewed The Walking Dead for a second season. With only two episodes, it's already become the show I most look forward to each week.

They ALL like turtles! (My undying love to whoever gets that reference).

  • Below you can see Zack Petrick, who tells his coming out story to I'm From Driftwood. (h/t crawfish po boy)

  • Kylie will be performing in the 2010 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, which kicks off Thursday, November 25th at 9AM EST. Among the other celebrities appearing are Big Time Rush, Betty Buckley, The Muppets, Miranda Cosgrove, Arlo Guthrie, Joan and Melissa Rivers, and The Power Rangers. After that, they'll all be taking The Love Boat to do Hollywood Squares.
  • Logo's The Arrangement moves to its new timeslot of 10PM EST on Wednesdays starting tonight, and below you can see a tribute to the five remaining contestants.

  • A Vancouver man has recieved a six-year sentence for assaulting a 62-year-old man who offered to buy him a beer ... in a gay bar. The judge threw out his "gay panic' defense, which is unfortunately still used in courtrooms. (h/t campion)
