AfterElton Briefs: The "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena" Trailer, Adam's "Purple Haze," "Just Desserts" Fan Favorite, and More!

Here's last week's caption pic winner. This week's caption pic is at the bottom of the page.

Thanks to everyone for participating! And the winner is ...

"We've outgayed you, Barrowman! "

Thanks to E-Style for this week's winning caption.

Happy Birthday to horror himbo Joe Zaso , who turns 40 this weekend.

  • Oscar winner Patty Duke will attend a special screening of the 1967 campfest Valley of the Dolls in Chicago tomorrow, and she wants to thank gay fans of the movie for opening her eyes to its ... charms: “I’ve come to enjoy that movie - not that it’s not still embarrassing. But thanks to the gay community, I can see it in a different way and have a good time with it,”
  • Below you can see the first trailer for the Starz series Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. Unfortunately, it doesn't feature Barca, but it does have plenty of blood and flying beefcake.

  • Campus Progress has graded the facebook meltdown of Willow and Bristol Palin, and unfortunately, they fail miserably. You can see a sample below. Might I suggest a tutor?

  • Below you can see Andy Cohen from last night's Watch What Happens Live presenting the Top Chef: Just Desserts fan favorite award to .... Yigit! Andy also asks him about Morgan's homophobia, which has become quite the hot topic. And the way that Andy tells him "I love me some bubblegum, too" is priceless.

  • MSNBC has suspended Joe Scarborough for two days for his campaign contributions, which is the same punishment they doled out to Keith Olbermann. And for the same idiotic reason.

  • In what has "Oscar Bait" written all over it, Daniel Day Lewis will team up with director Steven Spielberg and screenwriter Tony Kushner for the big-screen biopic Lincoln.
  • Below you can see Cher being immortalized outside of Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood. Okay ... first, how in the hell are they just now getting around to Cher? Secondly, who the hell is that reporter? She says that Cher has won an Oscar and Academy Award, and she refers to Chaz as Cher's daughter. Lastly, girl almost fell on her ass, which would have been spectacular.

And today's Briefs are brought to you by...

Here's your caption pic for the week. Drop your caption ideas in the comments (And please remember to keep the captions PG-13!)
