AfterElton Briefs: More "Beekman Boys," John Waters Meets Justin Bieber, Take the ABBA Quiz, and More!

  • Your eyes do not deceive you. That is John Waters posing with Justin Bieber. They met on The Graham Norton Show and inevitably the words "Your 'stache is the jam" were uttered.
  • New research suggests that "women are more likely to leave a relationship after learning their mate had a homosexual affair, while men are more likely to split after discovering their woman had a heterosexual affair."
  • Two pieces of very sad news to report. Pioneering gay radio talk show host Neil Rogers is apparently near death, and has been moved into hospice care. He suffered a stroke and heart attack last year, and his doctors have decided against surgery.
  • Elizabeth Edwards has passed away from cancer at the age of 61. She was an ally and a classy lady. Below you can see her HRC speech from a few years ago. Her dig at Ann Coulter is priceless.

  • How well do you know ABBA? Take the quiz and find out! There are prizes offered, but there's really no point in trying to get the highest score. I already did. Beat this!

  • Great news for fans of The Fabulous Beekman Boys (I love the show, Brent's faults and all). First, their holiday special airs tomorrow night at 9 PM EST on Planet Green.

  • Below you can see the guys in their "It Gets Better" video.

  • Do you love Bravo's Andy Cohen? Do you love Bravo's Watch What Happens Live? Well get ready for more of each because the show is going to experiment with a five-night-a-week test run. If you're a fan (like me), that means more Housewives trying to answer unscripted questions, celebrity cameos, and the cheapest set outside of public access TV.
  • There will be no same-sex dancing on the American version of Dancing with the Stars. Portia de Rossi decided against it, and apparently she was the only choice (although I'm sure Bristol Palin could have put in a good word for k.d. lang and The Indigo Girls).
  • Finally, let's go out on some happy news. Below you can see Illinois Senator Rickey Hendon delivering an impassioned speech for civil unions. He shames his fellow senators for their hypocrisy, saying "we know what you do at night," and imploring them to tell the truth about why they didn't want to vote for the measure.

And today's Briefs are brought to you by...
