AfterElton Briefs: Ryan Gosling Is Fugly, "Men In Black 3" Underwhelms, and Schmidt Happens

  • Birthday Shoutouts! Awkwardly shy tennis hottie Dmitry Tursunov (above) is 29, Sheila E. is 54, Jennifer Connelly is 41, Regina Hall is 41, Mayim Bialik is 36, and Dionne Warwick is 71. Okay, time to name your top five Dionne songs! Here are mine: 5. "Valley Of The Dolls," 4. "How Many Times Can We Say Goodbye," 4. "Deja Vu," 2. "Love's Hiding Place (Theme to the 80's classic The Seduction)," 1. "Heartbreaker."
  • Once Upon A Time's fall finale was its lowest rated episode, and the rumor is they killed someone off (trying to avoid spoilers here). Speaking of (or not, I'm not saying either way), check out today's Briefs Guy!
  • The faboo Jami Gertz has been cast in that ABC pilot about a "family that moves into a highly desirable gated community in New Jersey only to discover that the entire neighborhood is made up of aliens disguised as humans."
  • TV Line has a blind item about a "hit freshman drama series packing its bags and heading to a new hood in Season 2." Most people guessed the same show.
  • Tennis legends Martina Navratilova and Billie Jean King have responded to Margaret Court's homophobic diatribe. And it irks me that I've seen Court referred to as the "greatest female tennis player." As a fan of the sport, I can say with certainty that there's no way in hell that Court deserves that honor. Yes, she has 24 slam titles (more than any other player), but 11 of those wins were at The Australian Open, back in the 60's, when the competitive field was weak, to say the least. ASTERISK!
  • Here's the first trailer for Men in Black 3. Where's Linda Fiorentino when you need her?

  • Boy George has new reggae mixes of his single "Turn 2 Dust" out today, as well as a ... unique ... version of the Fleetwood Mac classic "Go Your Own Way." Pink News interviews him about his time in prison, when he's coming back to America, and ... Luke Evans.
  • One of the bright spots in New Girl is Max Greenfield's turn as the ... slightly self-absorbed Schmidt. Below you can see Schmidt's on-line dating ad from "2008," in which he appears to have already found the perfect person.
