Jim Says: Cutting the Nolan/Tyler kiss on "Revenge," the missing Warbler on "Glee" and the return of Morgan Fairchild!

Last week, you mentioned not seeing the kiss between Nolan (Gabriel Mann) and Tyler (Ashton Holmes) on Revenge. Why was it edited out? -- John (via email)

I went right to the source and talked to Mike Kelley, who created and is Executive Producer on Revenge. Of the edited-out kiss he explained, “The kiss wasn’t, for me, as interesting as the intention. Having written Swingtown [the short-lived CBS series about swingers living in the 1970s] and gone through trying to depict and broadcast sexuality so it’s satisfying for myself, the network and the viewers, it’s a really tricky line to toe."

"I’ve always been a fan of seeing which two people go into the bedroom and shut the door than seeing what goes on behind that closed door. I’m not trying to…I don’t have any hang-ups on kissing no matter who is kissing whom.”

Kelley also teased that ‘surprising sexual turns’ are coming for another Revenge character. Find out who later this week on AfterElton.com.

Tyler: I’ll share my take down secrets if you share yours.
Victoria: Your naiveté is delicious.

The new movie Melancholia with Kirsten Dunst looks great, and I hear there’s quite a bit of nudity in the film. Have you seen it? – Christine (via email)

I did see the movie and sat down with Dunst to talk about the film. While the film leans to the artsy side of filmmaking, I have to say that director Lars von Trier has created a visually stunning movie. And yes, it does include a few scenes where Dunst is au natural.

However, those scenes involves really heavy emotions more than eroticism. "Hey," Dunst said of being nude in the film, "if you’re going to do it, you might as well be in a Trier film. Why not? It looked so pretty, and I knew the context it was going to be in, so it’s not like it was a surprise to me. Not that it’s the most fun thing to do, but we joke about it and they close the set and they make it comfortable." One person who sadly is not naked in the film? True Blood‘s Alexander Skarsgärd, who plays Dunst’s newlywed hubby. One thing you do see is that the gorgeous blonde can do much more than play a devilish vampire. (More of my chat with Dunst will be up on our sister site, AfterEllen.com, this week.)

Well, at least if the world is going to end we’re all looking pretty good!!

Are Nick and Jess ever going to hook up on New Girl? – Jeff (via Twitter)

It may be awhile. I got an advance peek at this week’s Thanksgiving-themed episode, and in it Jess (Zooey Deschanel) is smitten with fellow teacher Paul (guest star Justin Long, who will be in a few episodes) and, in ways I won’t spoil here, he and Jess are very much alike.

While much of the episode is about the mishaps that arise as our gang tries to make Thanksgiving dinner, it does make a point of touching on the feelings that may be developing between Jess and Nick (Jake Johnson) in a satisfying way.

But another possible coupling comes to light in this episode. And, yes, Schmidt (Max Greenfield) finds a reason to peel off his shirt, but this time it’s in more heroic fashion as he attempts to save, well, someone or something. (New Girl airs Tuesdays at 9pm et/pt on Fox)

Justin Long’s Paul may be Jess’s new romance for a few New Girl episodes, but what about Nick?
