TOUR NEWS

I’m sure many of you heard the news that Adam Lambert had been asked to tone down one of his shows a bit while touring the conservative country of Malaysia. It’s a sad reality that there are countries out there were homosexuality is a crime. Protestors in Malaysia actually demanded the cancellation of his KualaLumpur performance because they say it “promotes gay culture.”

What did Adam say about this? “Does my show ‘promote the gay lifestyle?’” he tweeted in response to the protests. “It promotes living ANY lifestyle that includes the freedom to seek love and intimacy. Gay, straight,bi, young or old. It’s all inclusive.”

He has decided to remove a customary kiss between himself and bassist, Tommy Joe Ratliff. “While I don’t believe that my Glamnation tour is in any way offensive, I have agreed to make a few minor adjustments out of respect for the Malaysian government,”Lambert tweeted.

Adam also recently contributed to Dan Savage’s “It Gets Better” campaign with this inspiring video:

After hearing her cover of Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” I sort of fell in love with Lissie. Her career has definitely taken off since she had her first single “All My Life” featured on Veronica Mars and The O.C. back in 2004. Since then she’s worked with some major producers such as Bill Reynolds of Band of Horses, and Jaquire King who produced Kings of Leon’s Only By The Night. Deadmau5 remixed her Morgan Page produced track“The Longest Road,” and it garnered her a Grammy nom!

Lissie

She’s on her first major tour after the release of her well received debut album Catching a Tiger. I was actually all gung-ho about seeing her in Chicago this weekend, but unfortunately, she’s rescheduled a string of tour dates due to a recent illness.

Lissie released this statement in response to her illness via Facebook:

“Sadly, Minny, QC, Chicago, Toronto, DC, Philly &Boston will be postponed to early 2011. Tix will be honored. "I'm incredibly disappointed to postpone shows. A vocal doc advised I temporarily go on full vocal rest. I sincerely apologize to those with tix who were excited. I was excited too! I'll be back asap, healthy & energized. I appreciate your support & patience with me in this time. Much love & peace." -Lissie

Get better girl!
