Meet Your Gay of the Week for the Week of April 29, 2011

He made a triumphant return to the halls of McKinley High School and this week Glee's Kurt Hummel is also returning to another familiar place, as you've crowned him Gay of the Week once again!
Kurt's return to McKinley showed a lot of growth as a character, as he demontrated how Karofsky's bullying no longer held the kind of power that pushed him to leave school for the Dalton Academy.
More importantly, Kurt continued to be a very visible part of a show that's looms large in the pop culture consciousness. Kurt is one of several key gay, lesbian and bisexual characters on Glee, and the musical drama continues to inspire incredibly devoted fans and plenty of discussion among critics.

Kurt won with another impressive 64% of your votes. After fighting for their surrogate son, Brothers & Sisters' Kevin & Scotty came in second with 15%. Finally, United States of Tara's Lionel and RuPaul's Drag Race's Raja basically tied for last place with 10% of the vote.
Raja's last-place finish is surprising considering the number of votes she got when she was crowned Gay of the Week. Perhaps all the Heathers drama took its toll on Raja's fanbase?
Will Kurt earn the chance to fight for the crown next week? Be sure to join us next week when we name four more nominees and pick another Gay of the Week!
