Meet Your Gay of the Week for the Week of May 27, 2011

He came out in a big way on the finale of Make It Or Break It, giving visibility to bisexual young men, and now Max has one more reason to be proud. You've named him your Gay of the Week!

It's not just that Max has helped visibility for bisexual men take a big step forward, his coming out spoke about being bisexual in a way that resonated with many viewers. His coming out was a moment where bisexual viewers finally felt like they were watching a character whose experiences were similar to their own.

This was an incredibly close vote, with only a few votes separating Max and Max. The close vote isn't surprising, both guys represent a type of character our readers feel aren't seen on TV often enough. In the end, Max from Make It Or Break It got 36% of your votes while Max from Happy Endings got 34%. Too bad we'll have to wait a few months before we get another chance to see either Max again.

Even the battle for third and fourth place was tight with United States of Tara's Marshall drawing 16% of the total while Mitchell & Cameron from Modern Family got 13%.

Now that the regular television season has come to a close and many of our favorite shows head into repeats, the Battle of the Network Gays / Gay of the Week feature is going on hiatus.
