ATWT video clip update: The Overnight Ship of Lukie's Father

Today on As the World Turns, Luke receives a package from his estranged Italian biological father, Damian.  It seems Damian wants to patch things up with Luke and as a gesture of good faith he is transferring a boatload of lira into Luke's bank account. Despite Grandma Lucinda's advice, Luke is dead set against accepting the Grimaldi family "blood money."  Later, over an iced mocha, Noah urges his boyfriend to at least think twice.

Will Luke relent and accept his father's money?  To find out what happens, check out today's video clip.

If you missed it, be sure and check out Brian's liveblog from earlier today. As always, you can find earlier clips, liveblogs, and other goodies over on our ATWT Resource Page.

Where's Doug Marland when you need him?

Can't his ghost come back and write for ATWT. (ha.ha...a ghostwriter...that's what this show needs) This stuff is ????????????????????????????????? Luke and Noah need their own show. Would be lovely on LOGO. But today's best performance goes to Elizabeth Hubbard. She can turn any stinky scene into a great one...Just watching her is delight. And I love the way she acts with Van. Jake even looked like he was watching them and taking mental notes. I swear if there was anyone who has been Van's mentor and could be Jake's it would be Elizabeth.

those were great story lines...

when Marland was at the helm, but there is nothing we can do about that.

I agree about Elizabeth Hubbard. she has always been one of my favorites. I met her many years ago when she frequented into a shop I owned while working in Chicago on a play. Imagine my surprise when some 6-9 months later she pops up on ATWT! When Lucinda comes on the fireworks usually start.

I grew up watching ATWT because my mother came home from work to give me lunch when I came from school. She won the television knob. The Hughes are like a second family to me. I can still hear my grandmother, in Italian, every time Lisa came on screen saying "That dirty whore!"

I have to say that the story line with Luke's natural father, Damian, was kind of exciting. Damian played dirty and hardball. Besides that he was played by the gorgeous Italian model/actor Paolo Seganti. You can see pictures of him on his website: http://www.paoloseganti.com/

I can still hear his accent.

Isn't Grimaldi the surname

Isn't Grimaldi the surname of the Princess Grace clan? Maybe Luke is the new heir of Monaco?

Yes, that's the name

But the ATWT Grimaldis have been established as coming from Malta.

I'm being a little picky here but...

since this is a gay-themed storyline, I was wondering why the show chose to incorporate a children's charity rather than an AIDS charity. Don't get me wrong, all charities are wonderful but I just feel that an AIDS charity is more relevant to the storyline. Just saying... :) dgd417

I agree with your pick

I had predicted it would be a gay youth charity, something like the Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA). The writers must have discussed AIDS and other gay charity work, so it would be interesting to know why they didn't go with something more specific to Luke and Noah.

It Is Specific To Luke Though....

Longtime viewers know that Luke was very sick a few years back because of kidney problems and nearly died once or twice until he got a new one.  So for Luke, the charity makes sense.  He knows what families go through when their kids are sick.
