Liveblogging "As The World Turns" : Heartless, Part Three

As Luke mourns his (and our) loss, will Noah try to worm his way back in come to his aid?

Join us and refresh for updates!

2:05PM EST: We start with Lily , who's trembly and weepy. Oh, it must be Wednesday. Or any day ending in ... "day". She tells Holden that Chris had a heart transplant and Reid was the donor. I kept expecting him to say "Is Reid okay"?

Alison brings some coffee to Luke, who' still pacing around waiting for word on Chris. He says "Chris has to make it. He has to live." Don't worry, Luke, they wouldn't kill him off. He likes ladies.

2:15PM: Katie visits Chris (and she's wearing a darling urine-colored hospital frock.) He says he's not looking forward to thanking Reid. Oh jeez ... just tell him the truth already.

Lily and Holden are trying to decide whether to go see Luke when Lucinda barges in. She knows about Reid and says they all need to come together to help Luke. Lily tells her to get lost.

Alison tell Luke that Chris is doing better, and not to worry. Reid is safe in Chris's heart, and Chris's heart will go on ... and on. Luke breaks down, and says that's what he needed to hear, and walks out.

Alison (who's all up in everyone's business today) goes to see Noah, and tells him she wants to talk to him about Reid. Noah says "There's nothing you could tell me about Reid that I want to hear." Alison says "He's dead." Noah looks sad, but you just know he's thinking "DOUBLE RAINBOW!"

2:25PM EST: Luke comes home and tells his parents everything that happened. He says that now Chris has Reid's heart, and they're giving his liver to Lindsay Lohan, and they're giving his eyes to Noah (in case he needs a spare down the road). Oh, and Joan Rivers and Cher have first dibs on his skin. The hospital calls and they want to know what to do with Reid's body. Luke says he doesn't know if Reid had next of kin. Lily and Holden embrace him and vow that they'll get through it as a family.

Margo brings Katie home and they have a conversation about Reid's eating habits. Margo says "I know you loved him, but he's been dead for six hours so let's pack up his stuff and not think about it."

The funeral director comes over to make arrangements, and immediately asks if they're the family. Luke says "no, but I have power of attorney". The funeral guy says "sorry, but it has to be a legal relative." Luke says "is this a gay thing, because I really don't have the energy for it." Lily kicks his ass out. But it is a dilemma. They're going to have to try and find Reid's next of kin.

2:40PM EST: I just love how suddenly everyone remembers how much they loved and admired Reid, when they actually couldn't stand him. Luke asks Kim and Bob if they knew anything about his relatives, but he comes up empty. He wants to ask Chris, but Bob won't allow it.

Naturally, Luke goes into Chris's room alone, and in an unintentionally hilarious scene, stands there and listens as Chris says every wrong thing someone could say in this situation.

2:50PM EST: Speaking of unintentionally hilarious, Lily and Holden are viewing footage of a 12 year old Reid at a chess championship. Reid is a dead ringer for Danny Cooksey (my undying love to whoever remembers that name). He's there with his Uncle Angus, and the video guy says the Angus now lives in Brooklyn.

Noah tells Alison that he feels really bad for Luke, but he doesn't think Luke seeing him will help anything. Alison says that Luke needs him, but Noah says it "would just be too weird." Alison gets all pissy and says "Fine. have fun in L.A." But I don't think she meant it.

Luke can't take any more of Chris and his cringe-inducing banter and walks out. Unfortunately a hospital cog walks by and tells Luke how sorry he is for his loss, and he hopes this doesn't change the the status of the new wing. And Chris hears it.

.

Lily and Holden are in Brooklyn (and for the first time, I think one of their location shoots might be at the actual location) and are trying to find Angus. They run into him in the park (he's one of those old guys playing chess that's in every NYC park scene). They tell him the news about Reid, but he doesn't want to hear about that wiseass, see?

Luke is at the Oakdale Pond for Melancholy Gays when Noah shows up. Luke looks thrilled.

Preview Time: "Will you let our son put Reid to rest?" "Noah, you have a plane to catch!" " I can take another." Barf.
