Liveblogging "As The World Turns": The One Before the Last One

It's the final appearance from Noah. Will Nuke be permanently dismantled ... or is there hope?

Join us and refresh for updates!

2:05PM EST: Count your blessings if you didn't watch yesterday's show. It was a full hour of Janet screaming.

And we pick up where we left off. Will Janet do the obligatory "get this thing out of me!" and "You bastard! You did this to me!"

It's a Luke and Lucinda scene! It's been too long. She tells him that she wants to honor Reid in some way. What about an endowment? You know, I had always hoped Reid's endowment would be brought up, but this is not what I had in mind.

Lucinda says she wishes she had gotten to know him, and Luke says "You would've liked him. You two are actually very similar." Lucinda sighs and says "for his sake, I hope not." Luke realizes something is up and says "What did you do now, grandmother?"

Lily and Holden are growing closer when John (who's sort of meandering in random people's stories since Reid died) asks her to forgive her mother. She declines.

2:15: Wha-wha-wha-what? A complete episode of screaming, and the baby is born during a commercial break?

Luke orders Lucinda to make amends with his mother. I'm glad we get to see Angry Luke again. It's hot and hilarious. After Lucinda leaves, Noah (who looks scared to death as Lucinda breezes by) sits down and Luke tells him "She can't give up. Reid never gave up. When he died, he was so calm, and brave."

Noah puts his hand on Luke's hand and says "I wish we could all be like Reid." Well, hey, the train tracks are right down the street!

2:25PM EST: Noah and Luke continue discussing Reid, and Noah smiles and says "you're so much more focused. You're not the same Luke I almost kissed under the misteltoe." Noah tries to get back to work but Luke says "the hell you are!" and apparently whisks him off to talk more about Reid.

John informs Dusty that he is the father of Janet's baby, not Jack. Is it just me, or was anyone else hoping for another Dusty roundhouse kick?

2:35PM EST: Jack is momentarily devastated, but eventually realizes that it's for the best, blah, blah, blah. This storyline is wrapped up, thankfully.

John invites Lucinda to move with him to Amsterdam. Oh dear, I just had an image of Lucinda in leather with a whip in an Amsterdam sex shop.

Luke tells Noah that he can't hang around doting on him, and he needs to get on with his life. Luke orders him (he's really bossy boots today) to fly to L.A. immediately. He tells Noah's co-worker "You're going to have to make do without him. He's leaving to become the next Spielberg." Noah corrects him "The next Scorsese." Um, yeah, more likely the next Uwe Boll.

2:45PM EST: Lily and Holden are reuniting. Lucinda is delighted, but Lily is still furious with her. Lucinda apologizes, but Lily says "we'll see how sorry you are." Lily tells her she needs to keep her distance for a while, and maybe down the road they can be a family again. Lily and Holden both tell her "goodbye."

Luke and Noah are back where they met, at WOAK. Luke gives him a video camera and tells him he needs to get on that plane. Noah agrees, but only if Luke promises to visit him on set one day soon. They both reminisce about having their first kiss ... hmm.

Carly has something to tell Jack. Something ... the doctor has told her. OMG! She has a fatal disease! Well, it better be the 24 hour kind.

2:55PM EST: Noah tells Luke he loves him, and that he'll be waiting if and when Luke wants to hop that plane. They share a very sweet kiss, and Noah leaves. Nicely done.

Lucinda has decided to take John up on his offer to move to Amsterdam. Crack that Whip!

Lily and Holden are both crying. Janet is crying. The kids are crying. Even the nurse is crying. Carly is crying. Jack is crying. And now Carly's unborn baby is crying.
