Liveblogging "Brothers & Sisters": "Scandalized"

Nora and Kitty try to traverse the minefield of their love lives. Meanwhile, we're supposed to get our first glimpse of the kid Kevin and Scotty may or may not try to adopt.

Of course, if they really want to add some excitement to the show, they should consider a few alternatives. Think of what it would do for the ratings if the guys decided to look ... outside-the-box ... for their adoption.

For instance:

Vicky The Robot - Poor Vicky has been sitting on the shelf since they canceled Small Wonder, the worst/best show in the history of TV, and now that Rebecca is gone, Vicky can fill that "almost lifelike" void.

Orphan - You just know Nora wouldn't be able to resist ripping that ribbon off. Then the fun really begins.

Dee - The What's Happening wisecracker would bring much-needed spirit to Kevin and Scotty's lives. And she could annihilate Kitty with one eye-roll.

Damien - Oh how cute! He's riding his tricycle while Scotty is on the balcony watering the plants. Slow down, wee one!

A Pet Rock - Because the guys should probably take things slowly.

And we start with Justin, who I guess is now officially an EMT? How many jobs has he had? He makes small talk with Megan Faux about bowling, or something.

Hawk is at his book signing surrounded by Mils, Gilfs, and GGfils, all wanting a piece of him. Nora drops by and poor Hawk is overcome by the estrogen in the room.

Kevin and Scotty are role-playing in the adoption class. Scotty is playing himself, and Kevin is playing an uptight stick-in-the-mud (coincidentally named Kevin). Scotty has named their doll/baby Vinnie because "there was a Jersey Shore marathon on last night." Oh Scotty, it's a good thing you're cute.

The teacher knocks on the imaginary door and tells Scotty that the birth mother wants the baby back. Scotty protests, but Kevin tells him that the birth mother has every right to take the baby back within 60 days. Kevin says his goodbye, which at first is curt and hilarious, but then he gets into the moment, and when he gives the doll back says "does everyone cry, or just the gay dads?"

Seth and Mrs. Robinson are in bed together when they start getting calls from everyone they know saying their story is all over the internet. Really? It's on Huffington Post? I can believe Gawker maybe, but Huff Post?

Seth gets a call from his mother (the ring tone is a shriek), and they realize that they have to confront this, or it'll blow up in their faces.

Kevin is having a grand old time with Nora dishing about Kitty. He mentions that Seth looks like the 6th member of N*Sync, and Nora correctly accuses him of salivating over his sister's troubles.. I love this Kevin - he's is always at his best when he antagonizes his siblings.
