Liveblogging "Brothers & Sisters": "Brody"

Nora's old flame drops by, and the family likely gets drunk and argues about the situation. Join us for the fun at 10 PM EST.

Yeah! It's a melon cat episode! She visits her Uncle Kevin (Matthew Rhys also directed this episode) to ask him to babysit her flour baby. Oh jeez, not this old chestnut again.

Why does it seem that every show involving pre-teens has to have an episode involving the comical escapades of "flour baby." And with all of these flour babies running around, isn't it time for Maury to do a very special episode where he confronts the Pillsbury Dough Boy about all of his bastard children?

Melon Cat has named it Joaquin Winter Whedon, which may sound unusual, but when I was a kid I named my stuffed bear "Cornelius Lugnut," so who am I to judge. Kevin promises to take good care of his new nephew, and who knows, if Kevin has any gravy that needs to be thickened, maybe the little guy will come in handy.

Kevin heads over to Sarah's office as Nora is joined on the radio by relationship expert Dr. Milton, who not only provides helpful advice, her breasts act as satellite dishes, beaming the show into the far reaches of the galaxy.

Kevin has dressed Joaquin up in a miniature hoodie (begging the question, where the hell did he get it?), but Sarah is not amused, She doesn't see how a sack of flour is going to teach kids anything. It doesn't poop, pee, or scream,. it just lays there like a lump. Sounds like the perfect baby to me.

While Sarah is being the granny from hell, they hear Brody's voice talking to Nora on the radio, and praying that she won't recognize that it's him.

Too late, as the horrible realization of who she's talking to sweeps over Nora's face. Brody talks about wanting to surprise his first true love with a visit, and Nora tries to dissuade him, but what are the odds we'll be seeing Brody in the very next scene?

And we see Brody in the very next scene, as Nora drives home to find a garish winnebago in the driveway. The door of this Geriatric Mystery Machine pops open, and out comes Brody (Beau Bridges).
