Morning Meme: Warbler's Double Feature, Why Is Courtney Cox Talking Grindr, and Patrick Warburton Plays "Sexually Confused"

Patrick Warburton has joined Ted, the Seth MacFarlane comedy about a man whose Teddy Bear comes to life, but grows up to be an obnoxious slacker. Warburton is going to play Guy, “the sexually confused co-worker of John (Mark Wahlberg) at the Enterprise Rent-A-CarPatrick Warburton front office.” This probably isn’t going to end well for us.

Facebook has apologized for censoring the photograph of the gay kiss, and says it never should have happened.

Most of the cast of Happy Days is suing CBS for not paying them for use of their likenesses on merchandise. CBS admits that “funds are owed.” Amusingly, the most successful stars from the show like Henry Winkler and Ron Howard have been paid on time. As for Scott Baio, they don’t use his likeness for anything, so they’re good there.

You already read our review of Cinema Verite, but the New Yorker talks to 85-year-old Craig Gilbert, played by James Gandolfini in the movie. He’s less positive about the plotline, “If you are given the assignment to write a two-hour film that exposes the making of An American Family, the only avenue to take is that the producer is corrupt.”

If you watched Dancing With the Stars on Monday night, you know that Kirstie Alley got Maks to dance shirtless. But if you look at these screen caps, you can see he was showing a substantial amount of coin slot at different points during the dance.

Is Andrew Sullivan the world’s best blogger? If you’re going to say yes, at least let me leave the room first!

The House defense of DOMA is capped at $500,000 on the initial contract, but that can be raised at any time, and at $520/hour covering a minimum of nine cases, it probably will be upped many, many times.

The Dallas reboot has snagged two more original stars, Charlene Tilton and Steve Kanaly. I can’t believe how old Charlene looks now – and that’s not a dig – she was the baby on the original show, and if she’s looking old, then I must be too.

Justin Timberlake may be hosting Saturday Night Live in May. Or he might not. It’s sort of unclear, and tweets have been deleted. And LadyJustin Timberlake Gaga may or may not be the musical guest.

The Spurf has a very dramatic sounding spoiler for the Glee season finale, but since everything he does sounds dramatic, I’d take it with a huge grain of salt.

In New York, if your day camp plays Whiffle Ball or Red Rover, those are considered unsafe activities, and you’ll have to register with the state and provide medical care onsite.

I love the concept of The Pansy Project, where a flower is planted at the site of a homophobic attack to commemorate the event.

In sad news, Elisabeth Sladen, companion to The Doctor and the lead in The Sarah Jane Adventures spinoff, has passed away at 63.

There’s a lot of strife, and a lot of hope in this article about being gay on the campus of a religious college. What the schools are doing is terrible, but what the students are doing is incredibly brave.

Daniel RadcliffeSir Elton John is returning to Las Vegas for another three years starting in September. I think this could be great – if he’s in residence, he doesn’t need to travel so much and it leaves him more time with his son. Not that he wouldn’t take him on the road, but considering hwo much junk an average parent packs to travel with an infant, can you imagine Sir Elton’s luggage?

Daniel Radcliffe is no slouch when it comes to supporting equality, but he really admires how outspoken Lady Gaga is on the subject. “I mean, she has a slightly more flamboyant way of putting her point across than I would, and it suits her a lot better than it would me. But we're both aiming for the same thing. But, no, I've never met her."
