Bill O'Reilly thinks that Lady Gaga has jumped the shark. Frankly, it sounds to be like O'Reilly just just saying something provocative about the biggest celebrity on the planet to get some publicity. I guess it worked.

I can't decide what's more appalling, the stock photo that CBS news put with the story, or the fact that a school handcuffed a 13-year-old boy and sent him to a juvenile detention facility for "burping audibly" in class. He was suspended for the rest of the school year.

I'm not a comics person, so I don't know anything about Avengers Academy. But the title is set to reveal that Striker, who has always been portrayed as a ladies man, is actually gay. "Whether Striker likes it or not, it's going to be an ongoing process for him. He may think it's as simple as saying, "Okay, I'm out," and that's it, but it's going to be more complicated. It's interesting that you mention how most superhero characters' coming out hasn't been tackled directly; that's one of the reasons I didn't make Striker an out gay guy from the start."

Gawker and Queerty make a decent case for retiring the term "fag hag" as it's insulting to both the fag and the hag. I know I'll always have fond memories of Racquela when I came out, a San Francisco girl who proudly called herself one. I'm not as enamored with their "gabe" (gay + babe) alternative.  Eric Hegedus told me to use "flame dame" in my writing, but I've never successfully translated that to my personal speaking habits.
