10 Hot Movies To Keep You Cool This Summer

Like a decent relationship, summer is long, hot, and occasionally boring. Drinking's expensive, too much barbecue will give you the runs, and you can only go to the pool so many times before you get 3rd degree sunburn. So instead of trying to make it happen in the blistering heat, grab some pals for some romance, action, and adventure in the air-conditioned goodness of your local theater.

The Hangover 2

When Stu (Ed Helms) decides to marry his Thai-American sweetheart in Bangkok, he tells his Las Vegas pals from the first Hangover that he'd like to avoid any drama by having a pleasant, understated brunch instead of a big bachelor party.

But of course, the next thing they know, they all wake up hungover in cocaine flophouse with a drug-smuggling monkey, a severed finger, a tattoo on Stu's face and a missing future brother-in-law. The sequel repeats the same shocking, slapstick bad-boys hijinks from the first film but with even higher stakes as drugs, ladyboys, and police stalk the unlucky trio all the film's unexpected conclusion.

Beginners

Oliver (Ewan McGregor) never really had a relationship with his dad (Christopher Plummer) until his dad came out to him at the age of 75. Previous to that both men lived fairly lonely lives, never connecting with the people they loved.

But when Oliver meets Anna (Melanie Laurent) and his father begins exploring the gay scene, both men begin building a friendship focused on experiencing the love of their lives in middle age and near death.

Think of it as a wry, arty, guy drama, gay enough for us yet heterosexual enough for your straight pals to enjoy.

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2

Now that Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson are all old enough to do violent sex scenes with drugs and swearing in other films, it's time for Harry, Ron, and Hermione to finish off their big-screen adventure with a huge special effects battle against the noseless Lord Voldemort.

The trio can't return to Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with the Dark Lord's minions and the Ministry of Magic hot on their trail. So they must find the rest of Voldemort's soul hidden away in school artifacts with the hopes of destroying him once and for all on their own.

But who will die in the climatic final battle and how much will director David Yates tick off Harry Potter diehards with new scenes and omitted bits from the book?
