Coming Gay Attractions! Presenting Our Fall Film Preview!

Movie: Breakfast With Scot (October 10)

What Is It About? A gay sportscaster is suddenly responsible for a young boy who exhibits all the gay stereotypes he hates.

Why Is It Gay? It’s basically a gay Baby Boom.

Big Budget or Indie Darling? It’s a small gay movie in limited release, but the presence of Ed’s Thomas Cavanagh in the lead may bring a slightly higher profile.

Broccoli or Dessert? The movie looks like confection on the plate, but it gave this writer heartburn.

Movie: W. (October 17)

What Is It About? Oliver Stone’s highly anticipated smack-down of the rabbit hole the Bush Administration has taken this country into over the last eight years.

Oliver Stone (right) directs Josh Brolin in W.

Why Is It Gay? Well, it stars uber-hottie Jesse Bradford. Otherwise, it’s not gay — except for the fact that most gay people recognized Bush as the ignorant, outrageously irresponsible, war-mongering authoritarian long before the rest of the country.

Big Budget or Indie Darling? Oliver Stone doesn’t buy a latté for under ten mil.

Broccoli or Dessert? No matter how funny the movie might be, what Bush has done to this country is no joke.

The W. trailer:

Movie: High School Musical 3: Senior Year (October 24)

What Is It About? The teens put on a musical to express their feelings about being separated for college. No, seriously — that’s the story. This is the first theatrical release in the High School Musical movie series.

The HSM3 trailer:

Why Is It Gay? Good question. Will coded-gay-character Ryan finally be allowed to be himself in the theatrical release? Probably not — despite the fact that being allowed to be yourself is, you know, the theme of the whole damn series.

Big Budget or Indie Darling? Disney’s throwing the bank at their breakout tween franchise.

Broccoli or Dessert? It ain’t Henrik Ibsen. Dessert doesn’t get any fluffier than this.

Movie: Noah's Arc: Jumping the Broom (October 24)

What Is It About? The boys from the hit TV series are back, but the movie picks up several years after season two's cliffhanger ending. Noah and Wade are getting married — or are they? Ricky, Chance, Eddie, and Alex are all back too, bringing with them all their respective drama.

Why Is It Gay? It just is!

Big Budget or Indie Darling? This is the Little Movie That Could.

Broccoli or Dessert? Looks pretty tasty to us.
