New on DVD: Gay indies, Bert & Ernie and more!

Queer-themed indie comedies and some of your favorite TV gays are among the newcomers on DVD this week.

Two popular comedies from the gay film festival circuit make their DVD debuts this week. What the producers tout as "the first American gay trilogy" (La Cage aux Folles managed to get there first in France) wraps up with Eating Out 3: All You Can Eat. While this sex farce didn't get a lot of love here at AfterElton, I was fan enough of the first and especially the second entries in the Eating Out universe to give this one a spin at some point.

Also not a fave of AfterElton's reviewer was Make the Yuletide Gay, aiming itself at the very underserved audience hungering for gay Christmas movies. Degrassi: The Next Generation fans will be thrilled to see gay actor Adamo Ruggiero, all grown up, as the boyfriend of the film's lead character, who's out-and-proud at college but still closeted at home.
