Gay autobiographical character made straight by Hollywood!

I just read that out writer David Gerrold's autobiographical tale, "The Martian Child," has been changed by the film's script writers.

They've made the made gay character, David Gordon (John Cusack), a straight widower!  I'd really like AfterElton/Logo to get to the bottom of this and quiz Gerrold on whether he sold out or was sold down the river.

Here's more about it, covered by TrekToday because Gerrold wrote the famous "Trouble with Tribbles" epside of "Star Trek":

Straightened Main Character

AE actually covered this back in April. Seems that Gerrold did have something to do with the orientation switch.
