- QueerSighted, AOL's LGBT site, has been shuttered amidst insinuations of homophobia and political maneuvering from the former staff. We hear ya, guys ... these Logo people? Total 'phobes.
- Queerty found this odd Gay Heritage video ("brought to you by Yellowpages.travel and SearchBoth.com") that includes Barry Manilow and Anderson Cooper in its gay celeb photo montage. Thanks, guys. Break my mother's heart TWICE, why don'cha?
- Scrubs is already the gayest show without an actual gay character as last week's episode proved yet again. Not only did we have our usual allotment of gay cracks (as always, not anti-gay) but we also got this pretty hot reenactment of Tom Cruise's underwear scene from Risky Business.

Relating to the
Relating to the "potentially anti gay story line" on Razor, having read some material on it. It seems that people who dont watch the show, might think that. Violence against Cylons goes across the board, because one turns up to be gay shoulnt be seen as violence against gays. I can easily make more solid correlations to other types of discrimination than this one. Alas, I have not seen it yet, but it is unlikely.
If it does turn out to be true, there must be more to it. Batlestar tackles very touchy issues, not gratuitously, but to put them out there and make you think about them. This a very passive-agressive critical show.
We will just have to wait and seeI'd guess...
Battlestar Galactica RAZOR
The Cylon in question is Number 6 played by Tricia Helfer.
Because she's a cylon, her "seduction" of Admiral Cain is not really a lesbian relationship. She's just a cylon engaging in espionage. I mean Number 6 also seduced Gaius Baltar and that ended up with the deaths of Billions of cylons, OOPS I mean humans. ALL of the Heterosexual "relationships" on the show are "frakked" up.
I don't think there is anything overtly anti-gay about "Razor". However, as usual, the ONLY homosexual action these scifi and/or fantasy(Whedon) producers see fit to broadcast are women on women action. It's OK to have Number 6 and Number 3 multiplied together but Cylon God forbid if Number 4 and 7 ever started to do arithmetic together. That does not compute.
'Razor' not anti-gay
I've seen "Razor" and have to say I didn't find it anti-gay. Having seen the character of Adm. Cain in the regular series, I'm sure she would have acted the same toward a male lover. She was in love with this Cylon and was betrayed -- end of story. I don't think gender has anything to do with it.
What disappoints me is that we finally get a same-sex relationship on the show, and it will never leave the confines of this movie since it's a flashback.
I really hope Adm.
I really hope Adm. Cain isn't the only gay character we see on BSG.
In his interview with the Advocate awhile ago, Bamber seemed to imply there was some sort of gay storyline being talked about and I really hope they listen to all the fanmail they've received requesting a gay character. Totally makes sense that it would be Gaeta since he's one of the few characters without a lot of backstory in the sexual orientation department.
It's typical that the mother's basement geeks who write for BSG would go the lesbian route. But the show prides itself on pushing the envelope, so they really shouldn't be let off the hook with just one episode.
