Next week, the show is doing a special out of continuity Valentine's Day episode spotlighting several Oakdale couples as they imagine 'what if' their romantic lives had been different. In the Luke and Noah vignette, in scenes shot on location in NYC, Noah imagines what his life would've been like if he'd of joined the Navy and never met Luke.

In the Navy....
Just from the descriptions my cousin's best (straight) friend who is in the Navy has given of what goes on aboard some of those ships I have to say that Noah might have been better off in the Navy. He probably would have gotten laid by now.
However, I thought that the Colonel was trying to get him into the Army, not the Navy?

That's what struck me as odd too. The army I could understand, but the Navy ? ?
What could be interesting is to see if Noah would still consider himself straight or would he have managed to come out as gay without Luke ? Be interesting to see if the writers tackle that question.

I read over on one of the other boards that this girl from Noah's past is supposed to cause MAJOR problems with them.... NUKE come THISCLOSE to having sex but then Luke gets nervous and splits.... but THEN... this really pisses me off this part....
Luke does end up having sex...but it's not with Noah..... and there is a whole whackload of speculation that its with the girl that is coming into the storyline... Ameera. He sleeps with her and then finds out later that shes connected to Noah.
If this is true.... well, I don't even know what to say to this one. I read the rumor here...

Speculation: At the party/weekend getaway they run into Noah's ex and in the dark Luke accidently has sex with Noah's ex.
I have no idea if this is true, just sounds like some guesses people are making.

it seems there is speculation that this ameera chick is gonna marry luke for a greencard or whatever....and another rumor/speculation going around is she may sleep with luke and i hate saying this...but some think a baby storyline may happen.

The girl who will begin on or about 2/22 is Ameera, an Iraqi, who is probably Noah's half sister.
(Colonel Perv was pervier than we thought. It is though that Luke will marry her to help her stay in the US.).

Guys & Gals - In a very real sense, I regret so much that the Luke/Noah story is on a Soap. Why? Easy, no soap s/l is spared the absurd and incongruous relationship peregrinations and obstacles introduced by the writers to frustrate romantic couples!
Of course, the truly ridiculous s/l twist for Luke & Noah is that they never really became even a pseudo-couple (two kisses and a peck on the cheek in 7 months does not a couple make) before their non-relationship is split assunder by the typical Soap s/l plot ... mystery female or whatever, it doesn't really matter.
Oh, if only a movie had found our gay teen heroes, a true & honest love story would most assuredly been our reward...can you imagine Luke & Noah truly kissing and sharing intimate and romantic scenes together?!!? Ah, tis a consummation devoutly to be wished...to quote a familiar bard.
