The ATWT Board had this two days ago and the statement from P & G and Goutman the producer is an attempt to damage the star's cred with fans by making it seem that it was a money issue and the star was making outrageous demands. According to the AWT Board this ATWT star wanted script approval and the money was not the issue, proving that even the actors on ATWT are sick of the writing mess. I love the fact that Goutman issued a statement to discredit this Star of so many years and to try to turn fans against the star. TPTB at P & G and ATWT are turning out to be real skunks!!! as well as cowards!!!

assuming that "script approval" was truly the only pending issue, it's simply something that from what I understand is rarely, if ever, given to any actor in this genre, especially not these days when they all get treated like cattle.

If I worked in ATWT these days, I would ask for some form of it as a sign of good faith, as this character has been assassinated almost as badly as Carly, arguably the show's biggest draw before her stock also started to diminish due to a true gutting of the character. There is no doubt that the show's actors are sick of Jean Passanante's freak show as confirmed by the actors who play Jack and Margo. If we cringe when we see/hear some of what these actors have to act out, it does not take much to imagine that it has to feel much worse for them as they know their characters even better than we do.

Unfortunately Goutman and Passanante are here to stay until enough people say enough is enough, which it this point seems unlikely as the ratings remain at 2.3 no matter what. Even if they gave this actor script approval, we all know that the current regime is unable/unwilling to do anything that is not hateful/anti-female, so even an ok sounding idea would likely get destroyed in translation. This actor is probably much better off leaving this rat infested ship for the same reasons I am.

In the end, it probably came down to money/quality of life. This actor has suffered enough and hopefully can carry on with life until the climate is right to come back if there is something to come back to. Poor Luke, as his grandmother may be next as she's left before for these very reasons. They made her promises and did not deliver.

I honestly don't know what to think about this show anymore. It's like P&G and CBS are doing everything they can to make sure it's not renewed in the summer. I wish nothing but the best for this actor. Goodness knows, they deserve it.

I have no idea who this show is trying to please, but it seems to please no one. Long-term fans have hated seeing their favorites gutted/fired/underused and newer fans were tempted by the promise of something great and instead of getting Luke and Noah kisses, they get a chick from Iraq standing in the way of two characters who already stand in one another's way without any obstacles.

Get them laid, don't kill or take away their mothers, and please stop telling all fans, esp. Luke and Noah fans, about drawn out love stories, as nothing is drawn out in ATWT except love + story as the show does not puth forth either with almost any couple. Just when I think it's going in the right direction with one of Luke's relatives, even that is likely to be affected by this mess.

ATWT must have the most faithful fans ever, no other show has withstood such a long mess without being affected in the ratings. It would be nice to see the showrunners treat the "talent" and its audience with the same devotion.

Van Hansen should pack his bags before 100% non-gay becomes the next black and he loses the commercial attention that he's generated almost entirely on his own as the guy literally has to seduce the audience with his eyes/manerisms to milk something out of what he gets on the page. If he stays on ATWT too long, he'll wind up becoming daytime's Uncle Arthur from Bewitched or a gay bachelor daddy if they are feeling the heat. MB I'll miss you

Simply, Martha doesn't want Holden and Lily back together. She's tired of playing the same story. And I agree with her. L&H should just be friends.
