Things may heat up for Cake. Casey and Luke to pair off. according to interview with Van Hansis of As The World Turns.

In an interview in Soap Opera Weekly, Van Hansis tells that Casey will be at Java with Ameera when an INS agent shows up to question their relationship. Luke jumps in to say that Casey is his boyfriend, forcing Casey to play along. "His reaction is, 'What the F?!'" But Casey plays along in order to get closer to Ameera. Van seems to suggest that "Casey and Luke's interactions are more funny then the whole situation." Because, he suggests, they were trying to make it look real rather than offer hijinks.

Hansis also give us a rare glimpse into the mind of Luke and his fretting, "the idea of what to eat for breakfast probably worries Luke. I don't think he questions Noah, but he questions the situation. He's worried about them drifting apart..."

But Hansis says he is moved by the fans kiss campaigns. I don't know how he could ignore what's going on. He saysshe's moved that fans care so much.

Surprisingly, is Luke going after another straight boy? He will be "hitting on Casey!" Hansis "teases." He also reports that there are rumblings of a character from the past returning. I'm guessing that will be Colonel Mayer, returning to tie up the whole Ameera, letter, road trip sub plot.
