Gossip GuyFirst of all this show is great, I just started watching when I learned there was going to be a gay character (thanks iTunes), but I would keep watching even if they dropped the idea completly.
So most of us have already seen the post by brian about gossip girl by Michael Ausiello. But before I c/p it, I think that I've narrowed it down to chuck. reasons 1. turning Dan gay and killing the lonley boy and S story would be suicide for the show. 2. A fan saw Chase A.(nate) and Jessica S.(vanessa) making out while they were taping a new ep. 3. This article, By M. Ausiello--- Q: OK, out with it: Who's gay on your newest obsession, Gossip Girl? A: My loose lips are sealed. Except to say that in the first two episodes back, the individual in question will come out, get a love interest and make out with said love interest ? and not necessarily in that order. To me this just doesn't sound like eric. He's a minor character to say the least and this sounds like it is going to get a lot of screen time(yayyy). Not to mention that Ausiello's previouse article said: "The aftershocks will be felt on both sides of the East River." and "Some viewers will be surprised by the twist, others not so much." I don't think a single soul would be suprised if Eric came out, chuck on the other hand has a lot of people hoping it's not so. Plus in the books Chuck was an all around bi guy. I don't think it is Chuck
Clearly only Papa Bass will need a gasket job if Chuck comes out. Additionally, if Chuck comes out who will be there to annoy Blair? He does, however, have a bromance raging for Nate's closeness even though he still wears pajamas and makes Nate sleep on the sofa in his bedroom.
Both sides of the East River means New York and Brooklyn, I doubt the effete Chuck's life is going to effect Jenny's life, and certainly not Dan's or Papa Humpphries'. Jenny and Erik have become close so that might have been misleading, ergo, a surprise to some (straight teen girl fans) and not others (gay male fans). How many gay boys have told their BFF (Best Female Friend) they were gay first? Momma Van der Woodsen will undoubtedly have issues and bad girl (not really) Serena will be like, "I will always love you, Erik," but will discuss her fears for Erik with boyfriend (across the East River) Dan.
On another thought Nate was seen (by a fan) kissing a girl on camera (hint: "Not necessarily in that order"), Isn't there someone in the background that is very extra man (read gay, or see the THE WALKER)? Perhaps he and Nate were like oil and water? Opposites can attract. But then again, Nate is the only one to bed both leading ladies, and almost kissed Jenny. He's rock for chicks. But it is possible that he was studying with J. C. Chasez on how to play gay?
