ATWT -- Updated Luke/Noah SPOILERS For Thursday and Friday

The boys (and Casey and Ameera) are on Thursday and Friday and there's much going on:

Luke and Noah are alone at Noah and Ameera's cottage and are taking advantage of the long awaited privacy. Things are just getting interesting when there's a knock at the door and the INS has come calling. Just then, Casey and Ameera arrive and they recognize the agent and fear everything is about to unravel. Casey distracts the agent while Ameera goes in the back door. The agent comes inside and wants to know what's going on and where Ameera is. He investigates to find Ameera in bed. Then Casey arrives and with Luke, they put on the boyfriend act. Fooled for the moment, the agent leaves and all is well.

Luke tells Lily and Holden that Noah and Ameera have moved into Lucinda's cottage. Luke's parents are concerned about this new development, but they have their own concerns when Lily gets a package from Dusty Donovan, who has been dead for a couple months now. Lily breaks down upon seeing the package's contents.

Luke later goes by the cottage and Noah is angry when Luke barges in unannounced. Luke is upset by Noah's reaction, but Noah says they have to be careful with the INS hanging around. Looking for a way to spend some time with Noah without raising suspicions, Luke comes up with the idea of he, Noah and Ameera making a movie about Ameera's life in Iraq. Ameera agrees to it, but when filming begins, she gets upset.

I am amazed how stupid this storyline has become....I know it's a soap, but this is getting absolutely and incredibly insulting to the gay community but also to intelligent viewers....ATWT has seen the last of this viewer....I am not even interested in watching the clips on YouTube. NUKE is a joke.

Okay, I know it's one thing if the show is trying to keep Luke and Noah from showing any physical affection for each other, but this is just a terrible story. This is getting silly. This is "Twin Peaks" all over again, starting great with the initial story line and then getting sidetracked with a bunch of stupid crap.

is actually having a rennaisance of sorts. Irrespectively of all the behind the scenes drama, and even without changing its writing team, the straight characters are finally being presented with storylines that are more character-driven. While the men are still judgmental, leading couples are being brought back together, they are talking about their problems, kissing, and their obstacles make sense.

I am amazed about this as the past few years have brought doom/gloom/stupidity while Nuke was the saving grace because at least they were not being butchered so savagely. Besides never kissing, they have gotten slammed with a storyline from hell that is the least interesting and downright annoying story for me, irrespectively of everything that they are doing wrong by keeping them apart. Ameera just needs to go away.

After reading Hillis' article, I keep wondering how a character as annoying as Ameera was ever seen as an "entry point" for any viewer. That frigid voice, know it all attitude, blatant passive aggressiveness, just screams Fast Forward.... And I am with those who see more chemistry between Luke and Casey than Luke and Noah as it seems like the "pretend" relationship element allows Van Hansis to be more real than anything that is shown between these bros called Nuke.

Noah and Ameera need to go move, and maybe the writers can start with Luke from scratch and take him down a path that does not use his alleged sexual orientation to annoy all viewers. I'd bet the Snyder farm that if they'd let him meet a nice guy and not tease the audience, most would be in heaven or not care about any kissing that would be shown. It might not lead to higher ratings, but why should the burden of higher ratings be placed on the shoulders of two characters who are being treated like an exhibit at the zoo.
