So, this week we learn that Cardboard Noah doesn't want to hear a harsh word from Pineapple Princess Luke about Ameera Bitch? Supposedly hearing that from Cardboard, Pineapple Princess gets mad and walks? Excuse me, but Pineapple Princess should have done that months ago! Letting Cardboard even entertain marrying some ingrate that was due to be shipped back to the desert should have sent red flags up in Pineapple's eyes. Not to mention the legality of hauling the ENTIRE Snyder clan to jail for such stupidity.

It's way past time for Pineapple Princess to get off this wimpy, whiney-ass, woe is me mood and grow some you-know-whats and kick Cardboard and that sham "wife" out of his life. With all the hotties at Jokedale U, he has to settle for this crap? One good lay in the college library would make Cardboard nothing more than a distant, painful memory!

Save us all from this wretched storyline, PULEEZE!

There are no words left to express how totally disgusted I am with ATWT and the Ameera storyline. 

It's time that someone write something for Luke...Van Hansis is a really good actor and his talents are being sidelined by current events at ATWT.  I am dumbfounded that he signed a multi-year contract with what he's given.

It seems that no one is listening to the fans at all....All I hear is outrage on all the ATWT related message boards about Ameera.  All the complaints are falling on completely deaf ears.

"Noah insists to Luke that he loves him, yet he won't hear a bad word against Ameera.  Luke gets angry and walks."

^ i'd walk too. dang.

I really believe, despite all arguments to the contrary, that the Germans are monitoring P&G's script writers and are deliberately upping the ante with each episode.

Today we got to see the Ollian version of boyish horseplay, which needless to say is a lot more mature (and a lot hotter) than Nuke pretending to be gay 10 year olds jumping on a bed.

Also, I think Ollian managed to squeeze in more kissing in just this one episode than Nuke ever will!

dannydc...I so agree with you. I just saw the untitled YouTube clip, and it has become apparent, to even compare ATWT's Luke and Noah's storyline to the far superior VL's storyline of Olli and Christian, is an insult. This love story between Olli and Christian is so far ahead of Luke and Noah, it's just breathtaking. 

Todays's episode was well written, well acted, beautiful, heartfelt and sexy. Their scenes in the gym and then on the couch had such a natural feel to it, and with the two actors seeming so comfortable with each other's presense. Quite frankly, when Olli and Christian grace the screen, you can't take your eyes off of them. We also have the added bonus of the wonderfully written secondary characters of the roommate and Christian's brother...all this adding up to one hell of a classy SOAP.  

I just watched a couple of clips of Christian and Oliver. What is the name of the show? (I take it VL are its initials.)

In any case, how wonderful it would be if ATWT were handling the Nuke storyline with this degree of accuracy. Also, I can't say how much I would love it if there were an American soap opera with a gay character named "Christian."

I wouldn't say ATWT is down for the count. They are cultivating an audience. That audience doesn't include proud and out GLBT folks. They will continue to do the same exactly like they have been. Their target audience consists of teen girls and little old ladies who want neutered Ken dolls. A kind of romantic fetish object, like a teddy bear or a vibrator. They want to feel safe and enlightened. they don't want to be challenged nor disgusted.

And they want to believe that they are liberal enough to be watching two men on the show who 'represent' gay without having to see the disgusting things gay men do, like Kissing, etc. They want two nice boys, not two uppity fags who demand the right to kiss. These viewers actually believe they love the sinners but they don't want to be forced to watch the sin. Isn't that the AFA party line?

I'm sure that there are a few closet cases who are completely titillated by the kissing ban. But for the rest of us it's like the Battered Spouse Syndrome. Your friends tell you to leave the jerk, but that's all you have. This is the only gay male couple on day time. You have to stick with them no matter what, because that's all you got. So, you keep going back for more and making up excuses for the abuse. He was nice to me once, when we first got married. And saying you only need to be patient, and saying the story will change.

But the story doesn't change. Your friends do. The people who told you to leave the bastard. They change. They finally get tired and move on. You don't hear from them any more. P&G, like any abusive spouse, know it's only a matter of time before the critics get mad enough and move on. 

They have a reality show coming out that I'm sure will be directed at the youth audience they hope to rope in this summer (there won't be a contestant over the age of 25.) That's what they're going to do with the notoriety they earned from the media blitz. They're going to parle it into a new fan base.

Will they win another GLAAD award, and will they continue to get tons of free press? Of course they will. P&G are the only bastards with a gay couple on day time.
