The new AfterElton site layout.

 I have to ask.....how are people feeling about the changes to AfterElton.com?Personally, I kind liked it better the way it was.One example would be that they removed the recent forum topics side panel from the home page.I think if they're going to make changes it should make things better and more accessible.A few suggetions.....make the who's online/online users list longer like AfterEllen has.I like to see if my buddies are on when I am and if there's 30, or more members signed in, and only 10 names can be displayed at a time I won't know.I also can't isolate parts like a single sentence anymore.When someone sends me a link in a private message, or there's something on a page I want to copy and I try to highlight it to copy and paste it the whole page gets highlighted.That should be fixed.

Put the recent forum topics side panel back on the home page and extend that as well.I would like there to be an article link that leads to a page where you can view all articles, undivided into seperate catagories, in chronological order beginning with the most recent the same as the blog.I don't know if any of you are like me, but if you are sometimes you might have periods where, for whatever reason, you can't be on the site for a week, or maybe two.When I come back, and want to get caught up on what i've missed on the blog it's simple.I just click blog, but I also used to be able to just click more underneath the blog side panel which has also now been removed, scroll to the bottom of the page, click next, and work my way back until I find where I left off.

With the articles, not only have I never been able to backtrack in the same simple way, but the long list of recent articles that used to run all the way down the left side of the mid-section in order has now been shortened to only five article slots.I know the site is growing, adding more content, and needs to make better use of space, but in the beginning it was just looking more cluttered and scattered.If anyone else has anything they would like to get off their chest about the more technical aspects of AfterElton......the layout, bugs, maybe you like the changes, or whatever, let your voices be heard.
