Justin and Rebecca

Am I the only one who is disgusted by this storyline rewrite?

It's obvious that Rebecca being un-Walkered so the show can pair the two but who told the powers that be that fans want to see these two as a couple after they've established them as brother and sister?

It completely jumps the shark and makes all of Season 1 a big lie!

I completely agree

This is just CREEPY, CREEPY, CREEPY, CREEPY, CREEPY. I mean I know that they aren't related now, but I spent the last season and a half thinking they were, and now they want them to be into each other. I don't care what a blood test says, this is pushing the boundaries just a bit to far. Being related to someone is more then just blood there is also an emotional and psychological relationship that develops. And I think that a year is more then enough time for that to have developed. It's one thing if they only thought that they were brother and sister for a couple of days or even a couple of weeks. But a year of hanging out like brother and sister, and getting to know each oother like brother and sister this is not right. But what is really sad, is that there will still be more people against kevin and scotty then this sick little trist.

chhh, yeeeeah

tonight's episode actually confused me beyond belief.

all this time, everyone, including justin saw rebecca as a sister.....then BAM....now justin seems to be bummed out by it like "oh darn...I wanted you" and next week's episode does not help....he obviously is still feeling stuff towards her...

WHOA. new thought...i am now wondering if he knows the truth after all. hmmm.

In Season 1, Kitty even

In Season 1, Kitty even told Rebecca that she looked like their dad.

And Justin "suddenly" developing feelings for her are ridiculous!

Some shows have jumped the shark at later points in their runs but for B&S to do this so early in their run is unbelievable!

Um, yeah.

This really is a low point for B&S; I can't imagine many fans liking this storyline, so I'd suggest the wisest thing to do would be for Rebecca to realize this is wrong and move back to Chicago; it's quite a shame, because I like the character of Rebecca, and liked her being a kind of "outsider" in the Walker family. This is, indeed, a potential "jumping the shark" moment, akin to Pam's dream on Dallas.

I liked the two of them

I liked the two of them together in the first season, when they had just met, I felt like there were chemistry between them, and if it had been cleared right then that they weren't related everything would have been fine. But now, I don't know. I don't like they idea of them, but if they go through with it, at least it will be something new, I don't think anything like that have been shown on TV before, or has it?

After last week's

After last week's Dullsville episode (especially disappointing since it occurred after the long hiatus), I really liked last night's episode.

1.  Kevin & Scotty's relationship was an integral part of the storyline.  I especially liked:

a.  how Kevin tenderly tended to Scotty's injury;

b.  how Scotty made it known how a domestic partnership is less than a marriage;

c.  how Kevin didn't back down from his brothers when discussing his relationship w/ Scotty; &

d.  how Scotty & Kevin resolved their disagreement w/o major drama.

2.  McCallister's political ambitions have been tabled.  Hopefully that means we'll see less of him.

3.  I think it's a GOOD idea that Rebecca isn't a real Walker.  It opens up a lot of possibilities for ideas to develop on:

Is a "family" defined solely by blood or marriage?

Is Rebecca as conniving & self-centered as her mother?

How will the Walkers respond to Rebecca when it is finally revealed that she isn't family, especially when they learn that she knew about it?

Could'nt agree with you more about Sunday's ep

I thought it was one of the best episodes of B&S in a long while. And I know this isn't a popular position but I actually think a Justin/Rebecca pairing is a good thing for the show. They need to have something to do and its not as if the show could give each of them an outside love interest. (The show has too large a cast already).

Having them not be related is a pretty economical way to give them both a major storyline. And say what you will, these two actually have chemistry together. Now, the only part that's a little bit questionable is Justin still believes she's her sister - so his leering at her on the beach in the last scene is a little skeevy. The sooner he finds out the truth the better.

It looks like we're alone

It looks like we're alone in thinking that this new revelation re: Rebecca is a good idea.  If you look thru ABC's official blog for B&S, Bloggers & Sisters, the show is getting SLAMMED for its decision to go in this direction.

You'd think that people would lighten up considering that Rebeccca & Justin aren't real siblings.

Besides, I like it when the straight characters are the "freaks."  :-)

Is it really that much "out

Is it really that much "out of the clear blue"?

Rebecca and Justin have had a developing relationship since Rebecca became known.  They were best buds to the extent that Rebecca was the one who had to speak truth to Justin's addiction.

In my mind there's a plausible history. When Justin realises that Rebecca might not be his sister, other feelings come to the fore -- that's plausible as well and I think Dave Annable played this mix of feelings well.
