Did Van Hansis just come out of the closet?From Nelson Branco's Column about the daytime Emmy nominations: Their As The World Turns’ co-star Van Hansis (Luke), who was nominated as younger lead actor for the second year in a row, concurred, adding, “along with a few other actors from our show.” The unusually stylish and confident actor reminds us that although he wasn’t a judge this year, the gay icon thinks “the industry needs to figure out a better system, one that is more concise. Having said that, I’m still very happy with how the nominations turned out today.” Hansis’ ATWT love interest, Jake Silbermann (Noah) also failed to be recognized, but the actor tells me; “Jake will be at the Emmys." Thore & Jo
Well, I've read comments stating that Jo Weil is gay, or at least a frequent visitor to gay clubs. When asked, he skirts the issue of gay or straight labels as an actor. Sooo, there seems to be a possibility there.
As for Thore, probably straight. That's just my sense of it. Although, in that Giga interview, he did seem like he had a great affection for Jo, even looking like a couple. Such as when he snatched the food plate away from him, jokingly scolding him that they are in an interview and leave the food alone. Also his body language definitely seemed angled toward Jo. But I really do think Thore's likely straight.

Think you need to re-read what I wrote...
;) I think you need to re-read what I said. There's no stereotyping. You can read into someone's body language and actions, and gain a clue as to their relationship, without it being stereotypes. It's actually called reading human behavior.
However, I STILL said that I believe Thore to be straight. So, I'm not quite sure where you are coming from here. Basically, my conclusion is exactly what you are claiming...that these two are close friends, straight & gay likely, that have gained an understanding and compassion for each other. A bromance, if you will.
