i am really at a loss for words. it's the same emotional crap over and over with Noah.

Noah makes it awfully hard to sympathize with him.  With all he's endured, we should be feeling sorry for him and cut the kid a break, but his icy coldness and the fact that he's so tightly wound makes you want him to take his issues someplace else and let Luke meet someone who actually appreciates having a loyal, honest and very cute boyfriend.  Noah acts like his relationship with Luke is yet another cross to bear.

Man, I'm just repeating what about 100 others have said, but ---what the heck is this all about? Is there really a person on earth who would react to this situation the way Noah is doing? I'd just like to tell him----WAKE UP! Sheesh, WHY would you want to reconcile with the person who murdered your mother and tried to kill your boyfriend. Sometimes the ONLY thing to do is to cut a person out of your life entirely, and if Noah can't see this, he needs major, major therapy..

I wonder if the writers even know how badly they have mangled this entire storyline over the past six months. Obviously something is wrong, when it seems most of the viewers want this highly-touted (supposed) "couple" to break up for good...

This goes back to what I was saying earlier.  Noah's father murdered his mother and attempted two other murders, all within a relatively short span of time.  He escaped from his lawful prison sentence and kidnapped Noah's trophy wife.

A person with a moral compass would recognize that reconcilliation is pointless here.  The guy is a psycho.  I mean what was Noah going to do?  Help his dad avoid going back to prison to serve out his sentence for the crime he openly admits he committed?  Does Noah place so little value on human life and the safety of others that only his own selfish need for approval matters?  Or does he want a self-admitted murderer to tell him that he's proud of him?

The boy needs therapy.  Period.

Also, working at the coffee shop seems slightly stalkerish since Noah knows full well that Luke frequents the place.  If he truly needs "space" wouldn't it be prudent to seek employment someplace where Luke doesn't hang out everyday?

Or is it just that he's staking out the place to see if Luke and Reg (or any other functioning homosexual) get too close for comfort?

Now there's an idea... will Noah go all Sophie and become Oakdale's next obsessed stalker? While Luke tries to find comfort in the arms of another, Noah's twisted jealousy gets the better of him and he starts following Luke and spying on him, eventually poisoning Reg's coffee.... Ha! Actually, I'm not all that eager to see Luke jump into another romantic relationship right off. I'd just like to see him becoming friends with some other gay guys, hanging out and shooting the breeze and just enjoying their summer....

I do have to laugh at myself, following this story so avidly. I know it's all a big goof, though, just a diversion; I don't think I've become a hard-core soap addict yet...

Wait a sec -- does anyone writing this stuff ever check the law? Declaring someone "legally dead" is a specific process, unless they actually have a body. If they don't, then there has to be a hearing, a determination of likely death, a waiting period -- all that stuff, just in case the person isn't really dead (like a Psycho Colonel, perhaps). Handing over dogtags doesn't do it. Does the Colonel have a will? An estate? Army benefits? All that would have to be worked out in court -- just like an annulment! You can't just say, "We are annulled! Buh-bye!" You still have to go through a legal process (can you tell I have relatives who are lawyers and judges?).

Although I am not a soap viewer with any seniority, I do remember from my youth the MANY times that ATWT kept bringing back James Stenbeck as stated by Dennis. There is no way that Daddy Dearest has bit the proverbial dust. I so wish they would turn Noah into a Daddy Dearest Jr. I think turning him into a stalker type, hiding behind the posts at Old Towne, watching Luke cavort with all the Jokedale hotties would certainly breathe some much needed life in this storyline.

In agreement with my bud Psionycx, why in the world would Noah get a job at Java when Luke frequents the place with Reg and soon to be other Jokedale stud puppies? If Noah needs "some time" to sort out things, I would think Java would be the last place he would want a job. I guess Lisa and Barbara's dress shop wasn't hiring!! lol...

I thought that the whole 'My father is dead and I have to think about my life' whiny thing was a little bit ridiculous. The Colonel only jumped into the water and swam away. How can Noah think he was dead?

And now they make it official? I know it's a soap, but a little bit reality would be good. They could at least have had a big explosion. With that you have a plausible death, but without a body still the possibility for his return.

He could still come back; however it was lame to have Noah utter those words as you'd figure that he would have jumped in after him crying and not even seeing fart bubbles. If anything, I would think that he'd be convinced that he got away..... But maybe he knows Brian's shark leaves nothing behind as this shark even ate the extra weight the Colonel put on while in jail.
