Too old to cut the mustard?  Does it feel like pop music is passing you by?  Joseph, don't despair!  There's hope for the geeze in all of us.  I've been listening to Max Raabe and his Palast Orchester since I first discovered them about a decade ago.  They specialize in songs by Cole Porter and Kurt Weil!  They just released a 2-Cd set of live performances at Carnegie Hall.  The following is just a taste of their special brand of "Comedian Harmony."  Listen, then telll me you don't feel old.  Just don't pull your back out dancing!

My favorites of the moment are You've Got a Way(though all of Shania Twain's love songs are making me sad right now), Feels Like Home, and Making a Memory. The thing is I wasn't familiar with any of these songs until the vids and I love them all.

For me the songs work like tiny soundtracks-if it's done well and they lyrics or melody fit the scenes then I'm hooked.  I found Breath through VL and Lie to Me because of Shelter the same way.

i am getting ollian withdrawals since i haven't seen them for almost a week now... anyway.. thank god for fan vids... my top three songs are:

1. THE HEART NEVER LIES - i don't like the song that much but the song lyrics really fit the images of the video... really great job by the author

2. FEELS LIKE HOME - now this song i like though there was kind of a glitch at the last part were a scene jumped too fast.. other than that i like the song and the scene

3. BREATHE IN BREATHE OUT - I really like how the scene works for the song... and how the author managed to get all the great facial expressions of thore and jo... specially how they talk with their eyes... fantastic video

Breathe Me (kisses) is really close to my heart but that video needs to be updated cause the scenes are kinda old... but that song is soo special....

It's another verson to the 4/04/08 episode played out to the song...My Love Is.

I think the song fits beautifully. It brings an even higher level of sensuality and passion to that whole scene. I love the way it fades to black and then comes back in at different angles of them kissing and making amazing eye contact. I also love that their movement is slowed down and in perfect rhythm to the words and tune of the song.

ajax0409 here... thanks for putting me on your shortlist... but to be honest "Christian & Oliver, Kisses" with the song "Breathe Me" by Sia inspired me to make one of these vids... its just pure love in there... but truthfully... its hard to make one of these vids... believe me its time consuming... but for me i do it for the love of the show & the appreciation you get... so I gotta say I LOVE THEM ALL!... You know I've always wanted to make a playlist of this vids and make a musical... maybe you can start it ;)

It's not on your list, but I love it. It's such a bubbly tune that'll put a smile on your face immediately. I can't stop listening to it!!! Perfect way to start your day, especially when it's raining and everyone around you is miserable.

2)Christian & Oliver - "The Heart Never Lies"

This is really excellent; it almost became my first choice. It's strongly reminiscent of Brokeback Mountain. The music blends into the scenes beautifully.

3)Christian Oliver – Counting down the days by CoolCatKerr

The desire and yearnings of love are beautifully echoed in the singer's voice, and it's cleverly threaded into the clips to produce a passionate, yet gentle, resonance of love.
