Petition to Reinstate Heinz Ad

As you may or may not know, Heinz featured an ad for its new Deli Mayo dressing which featured same sex kissing. The ad was intended to run within the confines of the United Kingdom and it did for a few days.

However, since then more than 200 complaints were recieved by the Advertising Standards Authority, an advertising watchdog agency, making it the most complained about ad so far this year.

Because of this Heinz decided to pull the ad from rotation.

This action has caused some reaction by LGTB associations and LGTB friendly groups and media, basically denouncing the action. some have even called for a boycott and some creative positive ways to protest from some members of this site, kudos for that.

One of those actions is the creation of a petition to Heinz asking to reinstate the ad to its regular rotation. So far more than 2000 people have signed already, against the 200 who complained, and its growing.

If you are interested and want to make your opinion known, there is a chance to leave a comment with your signature and give your piece about the issue.

As always, the suggestion is not to rant and be positive about it.

For example, if your are a customer make it known and make it clear how your currency is important to their bottom line; and if you are not, mention how your would think twice to buy one of their products.

Make your voice heard. It doesnt matter where you are from, Heinz is a global company. I saw signatures from everywhere when I signed.

Have a good one.
