ATWT -- Luke/Noah SPOILERS For The Week of July 7th - UPDATEDSPOILER SPACE
- - - - - - - - - - - - - Luke and Noah will air on Monday, July 7th and here's what's up..... Feeling guilty about what happened to his father and desperate to find himself, Noah decides to enlist in the Army. Luke is determined to stop him and follows Noah down to the recruiting office. Once there, Luke tells the officers that Noah is gay and they are together. Jake Silbermann (Noah) says that Luke's actions are not about sabetoging Noah, but about making Noah see that he can't be who he truly is in the military. The recruiting officer asks Noah if this is true and Noah tries to sidestep it, but eventually realizes he has to tell the truth. The officer tells Noah that if he wants to join the miltary, he's going to have to keep being gay a secret... leaving Noah with a choice to make. So what does Noah do? In the end, Noah is unable to go through with joining the military and Luke is delighted to have Noah return home. But.... will that be the end of their problems? Noah Should Then Join The Private Security Forces in Iraq
That way he can be a mercenary AND be out and proud since civilian contractors are not bound by the atrociously-archaic and insulting Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy.
Whether or not...
Whether or not Noah enlisting is a good thing for him to do (and of course it is not), Luke shouldn't be going in and tattling on Noah. If Noah wants so desperately to join an organization that would force him back into the closet, Luke should just let him go, as painful as it may be.
That being said, I just Noah would let Luke love him the way he deserves to be loved.
WOW, what a stupid way to
WOW, what a stupid way to handle this. Luke outing Noah to save him from himself is awful. It's out of character for the way that they have portrayed semi-adult Luke -- being respectful of others and having integrity.
That said, it's sad that once again THIS is they way writers think they should fix the problem. Noah needs to grow up, make his own decisions AND LIVE WITH THE CONSEQUENCES, rather than depending upon Luke to be the brain with no spine. Luke really needs to look into therapy -- he has a great deal to offer someone, he needs to find someone to appreciate it.

I mean OMG could this storyline get any crappier. Even if Noah did enlist, why the hell can't he go home with Luke? I know several guys that served with great distinction in the military that f**Ked their brains out the night before they went into the military. But I keep confusing real life with life in Oakdale.Bring me the head of the head writer that approves this pap.

The very fact that Luke is constantly trying to do ANYTHING to hook-up with Noah proves he is just as stupid as dimwit Noah! With all the other hotties at Jokedale U, he can't let go of him? DUMB, DUMB, DUMB! Yea, I know those of you that say you would do anything for someone you love. True, but with Noah's bullsh*t, I would have dropped him long ago!
With the current ratings for ATWT that Anthony posted, it's obvious that this Puke storyline is not helping the situation. All the cock blocking that has happened in the past has alienated the audience to the point that the majority no longer care. It's apparent that it's not going to get any better with the Jokedale village idiot now about to enlist in the Army. Also, wasn't there a spoiler a few weeks ago that stated there was "someone" coming on board that would add STILL more conflict for these two losers? The only audience that gives a rat's ass about this trainwreck are the one's that are on Van's and Jake's web sites. Doubtful they will remain much longer.
Don't underestimated their fans
They are a very devoted bunch of people on Van's site and on Jake's too. They love those two guys....just as I do....I think they are two really good actors...especially Van. It's too bad they are caught in such a badly written show. But I think they are doing the best they can.
My deepest feeling is that ATWT doesn't have much longer to air....Ratings keep dropping and it's not leading any new viewers to Guiding Light which is even lower in the ratings than ATWT. I think we are about to see the end of this genre.
Look at all the better written shows we all watch on YouTube and other video channels from Europe and Great Britain. If ATWT never had a gay storyline we would even be mentioning it here at all.
And here's what happens next!
