Yes, I had the same problem---both the beginning and ending of the programme were cut off of my TiVo recording, which was pretty darn annoying; I'm going to have to watch it again on a subsequent airing.
But, I did quite enjoy the episode, and am very much looking forward to upcoming installments.

WAAAAAAAAAAAA. I want my Sordid Lives. Please AfterElton tell LOGO to get a deal with Starchoice or OUT TV to show LOGO programmes. It is so frustrating reading about all these wonderful movies and shows that you Americans get and we Canadians have to wait months on end to get it on DVD. By the time Sordid Lives come to DVD it will already be in its third season.
Only now is Dantes Cove being shown on OUT TV and it is only showing the first and second season. They advertised that the third season is coming in October. The fourth season will probably be shown on Here! and LOGO at that time.
Again please give us Canadians some love by getting LOGO here in Canada.

Question - With such a large cast the show could easily be an hour long. I know Logo tends not to do that with original scripted content (I guessing b/c of cost). Just curious if there are other reasons?
PS - Yes, the blue ball flying around the screen is distracting.
Originally Del Shores wrote the pilot at 1 hour, but logo requested 2 half hours. I have always thought that was a mistake, but it is what it is and next week you can watch both together. I think they will always be 1/2 hour b/c it's better to be left wanting more than ever getting bored :)

I'm a HUGE fan of the Sordid Lives film, and when I learned that a new series was in the works, I practically keeled over. My partner and I imitate the characters of the feature film on a daily basis, so the chance to reconnect and see these characters again is exciting.
Now of course, we live in rural Georgia, and our apartment complex won't let us put up a DirecTV dish, so LOGO won't be in the channel lineup for another 100 years. Now I guess its just a matter of trying to be patient while LOGO makes this series available on iTunes, Xbox Live, and other digital marketplaces.
I have watched every single interview and preview for this series on LOGOnline, and at first I was hesitant about the new cast members (new to me, not new to the play)... But the new Nolita, GW, and Ty are just perfect, and I can't begin to exclaim how perfect Rue is for the role of Peggy.
I would be thrilled if this show goes on for years and years (although at some point, the events portrayed the movie and play are going to have to happen, right?). Maybe Del will reshoot the events of the film as a part of the series with the new cast members.
So I say, BRING ON iTUNES. I knew there was a reason I bought the AppleTV!! Del, Beth Grant, and Jason Dottley, I love you!!

I've had the same problem with my DVR - even though the past two weeks have had new episodes, the DVR description of the episode says it's a repeat, so it doesn't get added to the record schedule. I had to manually add the episodes to the "To Record" list in order to not miss them. Try checking the actual descriptions to see if it's an episode you've seen before - or if all else fails, add the 10 PM Wednesday episodes manually every week. This show is too much fun to miss!
I love this show because it is my family all over again. We don't live in Texas but we are southerner's from South, Carolina. We are a messed up bunch of people, LOL. We have always said that there should be a soap about us, and now there is. Brother Boy is just to precious for words! All I can say he is my new hero. We all gather around the TV to watch it and sometimes the laughs are so loud one of us has to scream,"SHUT THE HELL UP"! We have all picked characters from the show that relate to who we are. We mock each other with lines from the show, and what a great time we have had doing so. Anyway I am babbleing now, sorry. What a great show and we all hope it runs for a mighty long time.

I really wish someone could make a deal with Cox to get LOGO added to the lineup, or have the episodes aired on another channel. Even full episodes online would be awesome so i could watch it. I absolutely love Sordid lives the movie.
Love the show, but it is too short (as already mentioned), and typical with Logo, interrupted by repetitive commercials continuously. Logo also has the habit of letting its shows fall off the standard time frames, so that you have to catch the tail end of one of the many lesbian shows on there, and then the DVR recording falls short of the conclusion. (And don't get me started on that damn blue ball).
I haven't seen how many episodes were planned for the series, but I have to believe it isn't very many. As it is, the plotline is about to intersect with the beginning plot of the feature film.
Question: If this series was produced by/for Logo, why do they so frequently use "fuck" and then go thru the trouble of bleeping it out. Same with any hint of nudity. I feel like I'm watching a censored version of an original series.
I was happy to see so many of the original actors returning to their roles. Especially, Brother Boy.
Love this show, I would like LOGO to make it an hour long show each week next season. It seems like the 30 min is just a teaser. Thank you Mr. Shores for bringing this to the masses. We love you!
