Sorry, but the sexy picture of Jack and Carly are more appealing to me than the stiff, staged, posed pictures of Loretta and the Dimwit. I concur with Joseph. Why if Puke is treated like the other couples on ATWT, they're certainly NOT touching in these "catalog" shots like Jack and Carly? Plus the fact they are NEVER dressed this good during the actual broadcast! It's as if you are seeing two entirely different versions of Puke; Puke, as in the actual broadcast and Nuke as in these phony, staged publicity shots. WTF?
It's strange that as a couple, who are supposed to be in love, lots of their promo pictures never show them embracing (bodies, arms and hands touching). I know that there's a new show bumper, with them embracing, which is a good thing, but I don't think it's too much to ask for more photos of them actually touching like other couples do. I know that I'm going to be hated for this comment/comparison to the OTHER gay couples in foreign dramas, but you can see images and photos of Olli/Christian, Deniz/Roman (when they actually WERE a couple) and even Kieron/John-Paul embracing/kissing on their show's websites, that actually coincide to what's been shown during an episode.
Other than that, I love Jake's eyes.

Stage these two all you want but nothing makes up for the plain old bad writing on that show. I have been over it for some time. I think Van is a terrific actor and deserves better script and direction, not to mention a more considerate boyfriend without Noah's baggage [which only the ark could carry - thus the name???]

They have had more gay action in a year on Daytime Television than WILL had in 5 years of Will and Grace on Primetime Television(just to get some perspective on the thing.)

What I don't want is for ATWT or P&G to just cancel the story line.
What I do want is to have the fans continue to provide positive feedback and constructive criticism (HEY GLAAD, WHERE ARE YOU????) so that the writers might take heed and more fully develop the story lines and the romance for these characters and P&G might losen up the reigns on the sex bit.
As for European TV, every aspect of of European TV is more daring, the commercials, sitcoms, dramas, films all allow nudity and cussing with abandon in a way U.S. tv never has (it's not just the gay thing). Why are we still comparing them and acting so surprised.
Christian and Ollie's kisses are not ony more believeable and explicit than NUKEs, they are more believeable and explicit than most straight couples on U.S. television.
I know folks like to say No Nuke is better than Neutered Nuke, but honestly, I really don't think that's true in the long run...
I've checked out the ATWT boards which are not mostly gay and there's like grannies and soccer moms on there complaining that NUKE isn't getting to have the sex.
Not to be precious about it, but really, I never thought I'd see the day...

I know people compare what's going on with Luke and Noah with foreign soaps (cause they can't compare them to any other American soaps or even tv shows besides B&S cause there's nothing to compare them to), but while I enjoy FL, I don't compare it to ATWT because well, there is none. American soaps and foreign soaps are completely different animals in just about every way except that they are all ongoing dramas with outlandish plots and an never ending supply of trauma. And as a poster above pointed out, European television is light years ahead of US TV in terms of nudity, language and subject matter. It's just not the gay thing.

It still boggles my mind that two young lovers could be living right next to a huge barn full of hay and not take advantage of it. I mean, they can smell it when they go to bed at night for gosh sakes. I know I couldn't sleep.
