Fisica O Quimica Season 2 - Fer and His Friends (Spanish with Eng Subs) - UPDATEJUST WANTED TO GIVE A SHOUTOUT TO THIS FABULOUS SHOW FROM SPAIN Among other characters there is Fer (short for Fernando). Out gay teen Fer and his best friends Julio and Cova (who are dating each other) are funny and smart and interesting. Fer has a fabulous group of supportive friends who are fiercely loyal and protective of him and very proactive about helping him find a boyfriend (and there's no shying away from the sexier side of being a teen on this show). Fer
Fer is one of the few non stereotypical gay characters in spanish television (almost everyone of them are in comedys). But the most important is the he is treated exactly the same the other characters in the series. At the begining i thought that he was the typical gay teen whose only plot would be came out of the closet, but he had to deal with the suicide of his best friend (and crush) Ruben in the first episode, he came out to his class in the 4th and to his parents in the 7th. He develops a frienship with Julio (Ruben's older brother) very special, in fact he had a crush on him to, but they solve it very well. In the last episode Julio and Fer have a conversation about Fer's sex life (with his boyfriend Hugo) without any problem.
He has his own storyline, and is very important in the storys of Julio and Cova (Fer best friends and couple). In fact he is very important even to those character who are not his friends, specially bad guy Gorka, who make him a bad joke in the second episode of season two. And as i know, even in this season his character (who is most on drama) will be more on comedy, because he and Gorka became partners in theatre classes and develop some kind of strange friendship
