Luke and Noah are at Java when they learn there have been complaints about the gay film festival at OU and that the funding might be pulled.  The boys decide to head over to the student council meeting on campus where the issue is being discussed.  Before they can leave however, they run into Dusty.  Luke is hostile to Dusty, but Noah gets some of that hostility when he wants to stick around and talk to Dusty.  Luke leaves in a huff.

Meanwhile, the police want the truth behind Dusty's supposed death and Lucinda is arrested for her part in it.  Lily calls Dusty, who comes down to the police station and takes all the blame, clearing Lucinda of any wrongdoing.  The police decide not to charge Dusty with anything and he's free to go.  Lily thanks Dusty for helping out.  Holden is angry that Lily turned to Dusty again.

Elsewhere, Luke runs into Reg at Al's.  Reg tell Luke that the a seat is up for student council, a seat that will decide the fate of the film festival.   Luke also finds out that his old friend Kevin Davis is running for that seat.  Almost on cue, Kevin shows up and he and Luke have an awkward reunion that is interuppted by Noah.  Kevin immediately takes off after Noah shows up.  After discussing it with Noah and Reg, Luke decides to run against Kevin for the vacant seat.  Later, Luke and Noah come to terms regarding Noah's friendship with Dusty.

Brian confronts Luke about his putting Project GreenUp brochures at the film festival and tells Luke that if he insists on pursuing a political agenda, he'll quit.  When Lucinda finds out about this, she tells Brian he can't quit because she needs him... and so does Luke.
