I’m Afraid I would have to disagree. Season 1 is the beginning of the whole story (prequel). The movie is the rest of the story up until Peggy dies. Just because she died doesn’t mean the story is over. There is A TON of loose ends. All of the characters are rich and vibrant and Peggy’s (who is not even a main character) death won’t change that.  What happens to Brother Boy dose he make a man out of Odell? Will Latrelle relapse back to valium? Dose the sweetheart Sissy really go to jail over a goat trespassing in her yard? Will we find out how twisted (or not) Noleta truly is now that she is in the institution?  Dose Bitsy and Glyndora dyke it up for real, or are they experimenting?  Can Ty convincingly explain what happened in the bar opening night of the play?  Will Juanita ever find out the truth about ol’ cockadoodle? Dose Dr. Bitch (I mean Eve) dehomosexualize Jose, or is it a scam to get on Opera? And most importantly… To what ends will LaVonda go to get her audacious red hair color...LOL? I’m sorry but I do not consider these as you call them “boring hold patterns" AT ALL!!! These are burning questions that can only be answered by a 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9……….. Seasons or a very good book!!!!!!!!!!!  I can see it now Sordid Lives: The Movie, The Series, The Novel lmao!!!!! :-D
