Bromance

If anyone watches Scrubs, they can see the "bromance" between J. D. and Turk. Even though they're straight, they love each other and show affection for each other. Turk was slightly homophobic in one episode but then it turned out that he didn't feel comfortable being vulnerable period. J. D. has a lot of the stereotypical feminine attributes (ie: sensitive and in touch with his feelings, caring, insecure sometimes, needs to please) but the jokes on the show are not homophobic, in my opinion. The "bromance" isn't the focus of jokes and in fact, it's taken for granted by Turk's wife who sometimes feels that Turk is closer to his best friend J. D. than to her.

I like the idea that men can be this close, almost intimate without the stupid homophobia you'd see on other shows. Anyone else?
