"The Brothers Bishop" by Bart Yates

Anybody else here read this book and enjoy it? I did. It's one of my favorite books. It's tragic, very emotional and beautifully written. I think Bart does a great job dealing with a highly taboo topic - incest. It wasn't sensationalized or used just to titillate, it was part of the story...under the surface and building to it's meaningful end. I'm a big fan of Bart's work.

No, But....

It's on my ridiculously overstuffed bookshelf (in fact I had to buy a new bookshelf to handle the overflow) and I was wondering what to read next now that I'm done with the book I was reading (Mahu by Neil S. Plakcy -- terribly flawed, but still worth the effort). I'll check this one out. Thanks!

Just Finished It

I loved it too. I could not put it down. But when I did finally put it down. I got on my library's website and requested Bart's first book.

No, but I did read "Leave

No, but I did read "Leave Myself Behind," and that one was very good.

Read Leave Myself Behind

I read both of them and they were excellent. I actually emailed Mr. Yates to see if there were any new books coming and he said he's working on something but it's not out yet.
