What is the difference?

If you have gay comic book heros you should have gay comic book villians. Their sexuality has nothing to do with their villany. They too have a right to love who they choose to love. It is not as if there are no bad gay people in real life.  I can give a handfuls of names and phone numbers, from my nightstand drawer, of guys that never call back when they swore they would.

Aren't we forgetting the axiom of, "We are everwhere?" Do you believe there are no gays in Oklahoma, or Iran?" Do you not think Larry Craig, Mark Foley, and Ted Haggard are three fucked up gay men and being gay has everything to do with their villany. I do not think we should lionize gay comic book villans but we must acknowledge their existence if we are going to fight for our rights.  It is up to the gay heros to show the gay villans the error of their ways. It is actually a way that we can get our message across that bullying teens can relate to and understand. Everyone wants to be a hero. We must, however, pick and choose our fights very carefully or you will see more Perez Hiltons come along to do us in.

That's all I am saying...

to clarify....

i'm sorry if i've missed someone else's post and this has already been pointed out, but Shatterstar is NOT a villain. he never has been and he never will be.

if you read the comic, Rictor keeps pointing out that this isn't like him, that something's wrong and it turns out that someone was forcing Shatterstar to attack them.

i was thrilled to read this issue because it's finally confirmation of the relationship that's been an open secret in the Marvel universe for years that had only been previously hinted at.

I'm guessing the other

I'm guessing the other poster meant to reply in that "Gay villains" topic.

I figured that was the case.

I figured that was the case. Just thought I'd throw it up there in case any other posters were confused.

My new favorite male couple.

My new favorite male couple. I wonder what Rahne would have to say about it.
