I didn't like Lost Souls or this one much. LS had lots of funny moments but that's it. Asylum doesn't have that many funny moments and Jack and Ianto are barely in it, their few little scenes are by far the bests though.
Personally, I happened to like 'Lost Souls,' particularly how they handled the deaths of Owen and Tosh. (And I kind of liked Gwen in it.)
Although I loved Tom Price's presence in Asylum and I thought that John Barrowman's radio acting improved, I didn't care for the story too much. I think that it focused too much on the teenaged alien and the ramblings inside of her head, rather than the Torchwood characters. (But the actress who played the alien did a very good job.) The whole conversation where they try to figure out what to do with the alien felt very rushed and tacked on.
Golden Age has been the best so far in my opinion -- though there wasn't any Janto in it. At one point, Jack refers to Ianto as his assistant. I will allow that given the circumstances and the person who Jack was talking to, I can understand why Jack would use the assistant label.
(This had spoilers in it lest anyone here has yet to hear these plays)
I listened to them both, and was pleasantly surprised. Gwen is way more likable in these broadcasts than on the show. And Eve is a wonderful voice actor, probably the best of the main team imo. Golden Age was more gripping and intense, but I have to say I liked Asylum better in a way. It seemed much, much deeper and the voice actor of the half alien was incredible. The flirting between Jack and the Duchess really grated on my nerves. Other than The Doctor and Rose, does Capt. Jack have anyone sane in past? My word! That man has a psycho fetish.

I loved Gwen and Ianto's interaction in Golden Age, I think they're lovely together.
I've seen many people complaining about Jack calling Ianto his assistant, personally I thought it was logical under the circumstances. Not only they were working on a case, but it was also an ex that shouldn't have been around at all.
About Asylum, I think Tom Price is lovely but his character changed his mind about the girl three times in 5 minutes!
That's for the radio plays, the audio books aren't great but much better than the radio stuff. In the Shadows is quite good, The Sin Eaters isn't as good as ItS but is read by Gareth David-Lloyd and it's a riot :)
Cool, thanks for the link
I've never heard any of the TW radio broadcasts before... are they any good? I'll download it for later either way. :)

Not really

Just my opinion, of course.
Bummer.
Thanks for the heads up. This francise seriously needs to hire better writers if even the fans don't like alot of their expanded universe stuff.

Best Part:
Jack: Hellooooo, pussycat!
Ianto: Me-Yow!
Hahahahahahaha! <3
My favorite
My favorite was Ianto's "not while I'm driving" :)
