Canadian Tourism Minister punished for funding gay pride event?

I found this article interesting, as well as the follow up that's been in the papers for the past few days. As much as we like to think Canadians are a progressive people, there are still social conservatives out there in this country! Of course it's all heresay at this point, but I wanted to know what other people think. Certainly doesn't look good for the Conservatives if it's true.
