ah, pretty cool. wonder how the show will do it.

usually with men and women, they just have one of them on top of the other and making out passionately with the man shirtless and the woman wrapped in a sheet. (like women are wrapped in freaking sheets when they have sex. laughable!)

so, i assume they will do the same with oliver and Kyle...except both shirtless.

afterelton might just crash that day. that will amuse me greatly. mwahahaha

OH YEAH! wonder if they will jump on the bed or anything before they do it? ya never know. they may be soooo excited about the chance to do each other have sex, they might just freaking jump for joy!

 

it's a new day

Our shy oliver will straddle kyle in only their boxers with no shirts on bed, they kiss, oliver will straighten his legs and lay on top on kyle, kyle will flip oliver over onto his back and the camera will fade away from the couple. cayla will enter and hear banging and moaning and tip toe back out of the apartment. here's hopes that oliver wears those tight briefs that he wore with stacy when he impregnanted her. YUMMMM!

Well, we knew that it was going to happen, obviously, and I'm happy that it's not going to be drug out forever and ever. They're looking at sometime in the next 6 weeks, so I would guess that it will happen sometime during the last week of the year, since they said "by the end of the year". Which in Llanview time will be about 10 days from now!  :-)

I wonder if this is a good idea, to broadcast it to the press. On the one hand, it will generate a lot of buzz, which could drive the ratings up (but really, are people going to stay home just to watch? I just might!). On the other hand, it could give the haters plenty of time to gear up for a huge backlash. Will ABC be able to withstand that pressure? Or will the haters just ignore it altogether, realizing that making a fuss just brings more attention?

And by making a point of teh gay sex, are they trying to make them into a widely known supercouple? Because they could just have them do the deed at any time, with no fanfare, and that would make perfect sense; this appears to be their attempt to make it into an event.

Honestly, I think they will go through with it. Ratings are down, they could use the publicity, and there are those rumors about OLTL being cancelled next year. It certainly doesn't hurt that Scott and Brett are gorgeous, and make a beautiful couple.

Now the only question is, just how explicit are they going to get? I vote for equality with any of the hetero couples! That may just be a pipe dream, but hey, if they're going to go for it, grab for the brass ring and make tongues wag all over America.

God, this news made me ecstactically happy. I was kinda down today, and this just perked me right back up.

I just wonder how far they gonna go?it's confirmed, they definitely will have a lovemaking/sex scene,what is really wonderful! but if they will show us how they are kissing with passion on bed shirtless and we will hear their moaning and etc., it will be the last proof that OLTL take their words to treat gay couples like others,they have a good chance to be the FIRST who will show decent and real lovemaking gay scene on daytime TV and then it could become a perfect example for others soaps who still treat their gay fans like a dirt!

 

But if you have been watching OLTL the straight "sex" scenes ain't as hot as you are anticipating the KISH scenes. I hpe we get more than the two of them coming out of the shower. But I suspect we won't be hearing any moans. I think the two hottest one's I saw was Todd and Blair in the cabana and Rex and Stacy on the floor. I will be happy if we just saw some shirtless post-coital cuddling in bed.

This is great news! I don't expect anything too detailed, but I would like for them to spend some time on it, if possible. It's about the build. They can be fully clothed, but there should be time spent on the dialogue and the lead up should be romantic. For me, it's not so much about showing the sex itself, as it is about showing that the sex is significant. That's what I need, for it to be a payoff.

As for the physical aspect, I'm fine with just showing kissing. Anything more would make feel embarassed, as if I'm violating the character's privacy. I'm only this way about daytime soaps, for some reason, and only with those characters I really love and feel connected to. Whether gay or straight, I feel awkward about seeing too much physical intimacy.

If this were a porn film, I would want to see every freakin' detail..

But since this is story telling, and boy can these guys act and have chemestry between their characters, and maybe I am too simple, but I just want to see a normal loving couple who really care about each other. Sure show them in bed so there is no question that some fun was had, but the imagination can create the best events.

But, in the event a porn version does turn up... please page, email, call, Blackberry, Instant Mesage or send smoke signals to me please!

I don't expect Skinemax levels of detail. I'm more interested in seeing actual passion when they finally make love. And I'm expecting more than 10 seconds of foreplay before the fade-out.

Other than that, I don't really care if it's hot and horny, or gentle and tender. I just want it to be balanced with what we have seen from the hetero couples on the show.

If I were placing bets, I would guess that they will go with the gentle and tender approach, with a slow build-up of passion. Hot and heavy, crazed foreplay with clothes tearing and frenzy wouldn't seem right for them, as they've already know each other sexually. A thoughtful re-exploration seems more in keeping with their characters.

Heh, if they want to satisfy both camps, they could have one of them fantasize about hot and heavy, and then show the reality a few minutes later of gentle and tender. Kill two birds with one stone, get two gay sex scenes, and completely blow the minds of everyone watching....... I know, never gonna happen. No way will they show gay sex two ways in one show. But wouldn't that be amazing?

The whole KISH storyline has been handled very tastefully from the beginning, so I would like to think that the "making love" scene will be handled that way too.   Very special showing how much Kyle and Oliver love each other.   I don't think this couple will ever be as trashy as most straight soap couples can be.    I just think this is so new to broadcast daytime TV that it is being handled with kid gloves right now.   As others have said OLTL is not Queer as Folk,  we should not expect to see the kind of sexual relationship between KISH that we saw between Brian/Justin and Ben/Michael on QAF.  This is not cable.  Though there was a lot of love shown on QAF too.  And actually the first gay wedding on TV was on QAF between Michael and Ben, I think.
