OLTL Week of 11-09 to 11-13

Wow, it seems like it's been a while since we've gone so long without anything worthy of a Liveblog!  THREE whole episodes!

Anyway, since I know a lot of us like to talk about the other storylines, and I, at least, have gotten used to not having to wait so long to comment on them when the Liveblogs are regular, I thought I'd see if people were interested in a thread to discuss the block of episodes since we last chatted.

My thoughts about Wed. - Fri.:

I'm really enjoying Mitch Laurence.  The only flaw for me is that I think we're supposed to find him chilling, but I really just find him a delightfully OTT villain.  There's something kind of dated about his brand of religious terror, so I suspect he played on fears better in the 80s.  But the actor is delivering the ice-cold supervillain so well, I'm grooving to it anyway.

My prediction/hope re: Matthew is that the surgery failed because he waited too long, so he'll blame his parents for stalling so long with suits and kidnappings, and will start looking for a little payback EA never shines so much as he does in those scenes where he gets to go dark.

Hopefully they at least got his junk functional again, 'cause I like him and Danielle, and we need another Lord/Buchanan hybrid on the show.  Down the line, I mean.  The existing hybrids are all too genetically close to breed.

Hey, I just realized:  Mitch has already helped Stacey in her quest to snare Rex once.  (I mean, once willingly.  I'm not counting when he was in a coma and they took his stem cells.)  Since he's inevitably going to interact with Rex, maybe he can help goose that plotline a little.

Ah, Jared, we hardly knew you.  Or at least, we didn't get to see you shirtless nearly as often as we would like.  Now that you've moved on to that big, daytime-parody-of-Texas Ranch in the Sky, who could possibly be hot enough to sleep with your wife?  Could Schuyler be the next to escape the orbit of Gex into the arms of a Buchanan?

Well, if I fail to start a conversation, it won't be for lack of trying!
