TMZ is reporting that Rosie will announce TODAY that she is leaving The View.

My contact in New York had confirmed to me weeks ago that negotiations between Rosie and ABC were not going smoothly BUT couldn't get anyone to say it on the record.

I think Rosie is the most radical thing on TV these days. Just this week the show had Vanessa Redgrave on talking about world issues, the "gals" discussed the Roberto Gonzales hearings and how incompetent the Bush administration is. They frequently discuss the Iraq War, torture, global warming, gay rights, gay parents, etc, etc all on a day time talk show and all because of Rosie. I would so hate to lose that perspective.

I've never seen The View with or without Rosie, and I'm fairly oblivious to her existence, but I am seriously disgusted by the way certain blowhard pundits have been viciously attacking her, painting her as this anti-American traitor. I hope if she is leaving the show, it's because she wants to and not because of O'Reilly's childish, vindictive little witch hunt.
