CRAZED LOVE BETWEEN MEN

Hi, guys, I'd like to start a thread about movies in which the leading character is driven to the breaking point or even into a crazed state over his unexpected/unanticipated desire/love for another male.  For me, the pinnacle of this type of movie is Luchino Viscounti's exquisite film from 1971, "Death in Venice".  I like Viscounti's adaptation of the famous Thomas Mann novella and that he chose to make what was implicit into something far more explicit in his film version.  Viscounti's Tadzio is very, very aware of what is happening to von Aschenbach - it isn't one-sided anymore, it's definitely two-sided.  And, yet, Viscounti doesn't turn the material into anything sexual, he keeps it in the realm of "the aesthetic".

And, so, guys, if you'd care to participate in this thread, what would be your choices for this type of "crazed love" film?

I have a feeling that with all the knowledgeable guys here at the AfterElton website, we could come up with one hell of a list.  And I'll probably become aware of films that I've only heard of, but have never actually seen.
