DAN SAVAGE recommends new gay novel, SEVENTY TIMES SEVEN
Hi, everybody. Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Salvatore Sapienza, and I am the author of the new gay novel, SEVENTY TIMES SEVEN (Harrington Park Press). I'm really glad to join the forums, and I look forward to meeting other writers and readers of gay fiction. I think this is a great place for us to talk about books we've recently read, and, yes, maybe for authors to let us know about their books. As a first-time author with a small gay publisher, it's been tough to get the word out about the book, so I hope you don't mind my shameless plug. Love to hear from those who've read it
Thanks for asking. The book is loosely based on my experiences as an out gay religious brother in the Catholic Church. During that time, I worked with Father Mychal Judge, the NYC priest who died on 9/11.
And, yes, if anyone out there's read SEVENTY TIMES SEVEN, I'd love for your to post your feedback here. Thanks.
I'm currently reading 'That Undeniable Longing' by Mark Tedesco, and I'll post my review here in a few weeks.
